That’s a shame but yeah I look forward to hearing more about it. I’ve wanting them to do a PNP version of the 1/8th F15 for years... I’ve already got a color scheme picked out . Please keep us updated and post pics if you get any!

Well I saw the one at GA explode, they seem to be handling it the right way, that does go a long way.

Yup BVM is doing a great job identifying and rectifying possible defect. I will receive mine this week and incorporate into my bird. Can’t wait to get mine back in the air.

What are the said problems with the 1/5 BVM 18? Just wondering because I should be receiving mine anytime now.

Yes, it would be nice if all the major players at this level of the hobby would address issues head on and let the customers know who already own said products to either address a particular problem or ground their aircraft, engines or electronics until a fix is available. It's not only the financial loss but the potential for bodily harm that should persuade the more reputable companies to be proactive once they know a failure here or there becomes a major problem.

wing spar failure at Georgia jets, likely cause was the possibility of minimal glue adhesion to spar socket within wing structure. Modification Kit should be complete and sent to all current F18 owners. Very simple process can be accomplished at field ( apparently this occurred with bvm reps in attendance at BITW ) or at home.

Likely not not necessary and possibly one time occurrence but bvm took the lead and recommended grounding bird until they sorted a solution. That appears to have occurred in this case a technique other manufacturers could implement in the future.

Good luck with the hornet. Great flying bird. Respect the design limit of the bird, it’s deceptively fast. Especially with twin engine install. Also, be sure to heat protect via aluminum duct tape or other methods the airlines and servo leads at back of airplane. Also add a half bypass G10:sheet works great to your engine install. This will protect the multitude of airlines beneath.

Don't me started! LOL mines just sitting there 90% complete, minus two more safety mods/fixes and repaint.
Im getting my T1 F22 soon so I will probably take everything out of the 18 and sling in the Raptor.

All I can say right now is it's not ready yet. Rob and the rest at BVM found some things they'd like changed before it goes to full production. When I know more, I'll definitely fill you in here..

Ok, thanks very much for reply. It’s good to hear that BVM won’t send out a unready product. Worth the wait

That has always been a nice sized F15, it seemed to never take off when being sold by JL themselves, not sure why. It's a good size for transport and moving around by ones self. Good to see BVM adding their technical expertise and marketing to this F15. I would love to see the F20 from JL get the same BVM treatment as well.

That’s exactly why I like it. Perfect size for a 160 size single turbine. Can easily be transported/ easy dismantling. And it looks good as well especially the landing gear. Lots a color schemes to choose from as well

Pretty sure I remember the jetlegend version had stab issues so no one was getting them. I know Rob and BVM will fix that issue though.

Yeah.. for some reason I don't really like the 2-seater airplanes.. Yet I have 2 of them.. LOL. I'd much rather have an F/A-18E over the F, and still might get a single-seat cockpit for my Ultra Bandit.. I think they just look better.
