Skymaster 1/8th F-18. How does it fly?

Hey Mike,
I have ave one exactly the same powered by a jc 160. Flies great. Factory c of g is too TAIL heavy by quite a bit. Chock the nose retract up to get positive A of A on the ground. Can get my settings for you when the time comes. Go easy on the elevator on take off or she will over rotate and give you a little cobra demo soon after takeoff. Don’t get her too nose high on landing...you can easily over flare and pancake his thing....she was built to stand on her tail! Here is mine.....

Take offs can jump as Craig said so watch for that but it will fly well, and even better with gyro. Landing is always the tougher part of flying an F18. But with correct CG just fly her down a tad nose high, full flaps (I have IAS on my so keep it around 63 kts in pattern..probably not less) and she should settle in as you continue to back off the throttle on short final. I might even keep a few clicks of throttle in flare till she's less than 1 foot then chop it.
