This makes me sad, the Prowler is soooo different from the original A-6. I think when it comes to deciding on a jet you can’t go wrong with any of the well known jets. As long as it flies great and looks great it will sell. The A-6 even has a movie so how can you go wrong lol. My opinion is completely biased since it’s one of my personal favorite

I try to suggest new jets that are not already being built by 2 or more factories as why do we need another factory building the same old stuff? I saw the post for the Tornado but we would need more than 1 person to show interest in that jet, as making a mold is not cheap at all and we have to depend on sales to make it worth while. I know Fenderbean and many others have shown interest in the A-6 Prowler but our Factories intelligence says there are now 3 factories in development on that jet with Der Jets already releasing their version of the A-6. Digital pilot started a thread of what would everyone like to see built in the future, but even that thread died quickly so we have to be very picky as to what goes on the drawing board next. I am not ruling out the Tornado but we need more interested parties wanting that jet before we can develop one.

Regards,

Dirk
That’s Understandable. The Tornado isn’t the most known jet out there especially since there hasn’t been a model before apart from FEJ. Hopefully Skymaster will do one and it may become more popular then. A couple popular models would be T33/ F80 or F84 seems to be a popular choice on RCU but if they run out of ideas suggest tornado

I don’t understand the distaste for the F-35. It’s going to eventually replace the F-16 of which we literally have dozens of models to choose from. We have one so far that is smaller than I’d like from Der Jet and T One is going to eventually produce one too. You could make two different wings for the A and C models or even just do a C model to lower the wing loading. My ideal size, like many have mentioned on here before, is a 160-180 sized plane. Easy to carry in a car, not too big where you’d have to get a trailer and not too small where it gets squirrelly with winds and heavy wing loading. I’d think everybody would be jumping on the bandwagon

I am very interested in an F-35 in the 100"+ size. Also, since there are affordable turbo prop engine on the market now, it would be great to see more airframes for these engines ( A-29, or Texan II).

For me the recent generation of jets are not cold war ugly enough .... buncha strait lines and symmetry, who needs that?

Where's the fueling probe that sticks out like a broken finger or the misplaced hump right behind the pilot or the exaggerated stinger in the back of the fuselage that spreads slowing the plane?

Look at the Victor Bomber, it has a face only its engineers can love ... give us more of that !!

It's also worth remembering things aircraft like the F16 were built in a period less dominated by computer aided stability - many older designs are were built to work aerodynamically rather than for stealth. Hence why they aren't as hideously ugly as the F35 / F22 types and you know you're more likely get a nice flying aircraft rather than a gamble on it flying like a pig.

Huh? The F-16 was one of the first dynamically unstable military aircraft ever produced! The F-35/F-22 shape is determined by low-observability more than stability..

please, please, somebody do an F-101B...if you pay attention to these types of threads, F-101s are ALWAYS requested, specifically the B.

Saw a flight of four perform in Abbotsford, BC in the early 80’s. Think my ears are still ringing from that. Dad used to work on them in the USAF, good friend of his had quite a bit of time in them, still a friend of mine. Still tells stories about buzzing unsuspecting ranchers in BFE Nevada in that thing.

Very cool airplane, deserves to have a model.

Sepecat Jaguar!
I've wanted to have a model of a Jaguar since I first started flying ducted fans (decades ago). I even toyed with the idea of scratch building one until I realized that the landing gear design was beyond what my skill and time were capable of. If someone were to build a kit or an ARF suitable for 160-200 power I would buy it in a heartbeat!

Check Ace Composites

I think they have one that's around that size

Since this thread is morphing into a wish list instead of what's coming for sure, why are there so darn many MiG-15 models and no MiG-17?

+1

I don't see what's hard about designing a scale looking F-101 in any size, looks like a good portion can be taken from the F-4.

There's not a "want" thread related to jets that doesn't have the F-101 listed from foamy to turbine

I don't understand why no one has done a large F-106 maybe in 1/6.5 or 1/7 scale. Put on working weapons bay doors, speed brake. braking chute.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE 106s. Lots of neat schemes from the old Air Defense Command days.

Yes the 106 would be a great model. Landing gear is not complex, no slats, no horizontal stab to do. I have a bit of documentation on them and thought about making molds and doing one myself but it's hard to find the time. I went to Airframe & powerplant school in the early 80,s and was near Griffiss AFB in NY and watched them come and go. The 49th F.I.S. was based there.

The "six" was a great jet. Way ahead of its time with a tactical situation display, could cruise supersonic in mil power, internal weapons storage and was FAST. I flew T33s at Tyndall AFB in the early 80's where one of our missions was target support for the 106 RTU. 500' over the gulf, in the weather, solo, at night in a 1940's era jet and the 106 could find us and join up to ID us. Oh yeah, it could carry a nuke air to air missile (AIR 2 Genie) to lob onto the pack of Bears heading our way from over the north pole.
