Default Jeti CB XXX??

Hello all,

does anyone know if Jeti is coming out with a new CB that is a between model of the 200 and 400? Will it have new functions that will be supported by the DS16 and DS24? Just wondering. I see that they are coming out with a 12x transmitter.

There has been talk of such a things but since they just came out with a new firmware for the CB200 that allows a 3rd receiver for 900mhz backup, I'm not sure I see a reason for a new CB200 right away. I'm not personally expecting one anytime soon but who knows.

According to Zb, there is a new CB200 in development to support full Ditex telemetry streaming and improved Assist integration.
No date given for its release...

I think they have to if they want to keep up with Powerbox. Jetis complicated system to connect a gyro function to CB is way behind Powerboxs integrated gyro function and the CB 200 lacks voltage regulator. The CB 400 witch has voltage regulator I is too big and expensive for my purpose and still lacks integrated gyro. Therefor I just bought the Powerbox Murcury SRS instead for those reason and it works more or less seamless with the Jeti system. But since I am a Jeti user I would very much rather have bought a Jeti switchboard if there were a CB with voltage regulator and integrated gyro available.

yes! I’m in the same boat. I love my Jeti products and like that I can keep all my equipment the same but wish the CB line had more features like powerbox.

I asked Jeti tech support and they confirmed that CB200 with Ditex telemetry support would be released in spring 2019. As that’s the only thing i was missing, I don’t know of any additional features of the new CB200.

One downside of the Mercury is the lack of battery monitoring/telemetry; but you can just add 2 MUI30 sensors and recover that.

I understand what the MUI30 does, but unless flying an electric do you really need that information? I fly powerboxes and the voltage is really what I need to see in between flights.

Voltage monitoring on lithium batteries is not the preferred method for determining state of charge, simply based on the slope of the discharge vs voltage curves and their dependence on load and temperature. This is more or less an accepted industry practice.
The use of capacity monitoring (or Coloumb counting if you like) is preferred. Knowing the capacity of your pack (by running a charge/discharge/charge cycle on your charger) and knowing how much capacity (Coloumbs) you've pulled out of the pack is quite accurate for determining State of Charge (and when to recharge)
Voltage monitoring is good for alarm indication, but IMHO that's about all.

Jeti is working on new CB220 (working name) and new CB300 w/regulator, HV servo outputs (high current poly-fuses), 3x Rx connection, high speed EXBus port and aluminum case. We were talking about having all this new equipment for 2019 flying season.

YES!!! Zb lol I was hoping you would chime in and provide some updates. This is what I’m talking about I can’t wait to see the CB line more robust and can’t wait to get my hands on some.

Unfortunately not yet, the CB220 has priority. The CB300 is scheduled for summer.

With 220 we can expect to see first pieces early Jun, parts are already in production.
As announced before there will be 2 version, one w/poly-fuses and one without.

I hope with the new CB220 it will offer more than just power distribution. With the new AR power bus system, which can be used with Jeti is looking very nice and it has integrated gyro and other futures. What will the CB220 offer?

Guessing the strategy is to offer an Assist ‘satellite’ (minimal pins, smaller, cheaper) for maximum configuration and placement flexibility. Should work with new and existing Central boxes.

In my current setup, I have 15 CB200 pins + 7 Assist pins and only use 8!

You know Jeti has introduced the standalone Assist, we just needed fast EXBus port.
And new CB200/300 and 400 will have capabilities to support gyro.

yes but the smallest you can get in the assist is 7 channel. I don’t need big of a receiver just to use for a sat and gyro.

Just search ZB's posts. He said it required the higher speed of the new CB ports.
