Matrix made a scale F16 gear specifically for that jet. There was just a set for sale on rcgroups. I know that doesn't help but it does mean they're out there. Matrix probably still makes them.

Fenderbean is there any chance you can measure the lengths of the units when they are in the retracted and extended positions so I can see if they will fit into my openings...... obviously going to be slightly larger because of the scale but need to see if they will fit..... can you do some pics also if possible..... if it's easier, my email is [email protected] thanks in advance

Hey Phil,
I have an AD F-16 I recently bought retracts for. I can tell you for certain that there is no way you can fit the 1/6 gear in it because the 6.8 gear just barely fit. FYI I have not been happy with the fit/finish/operation/reliability of the matrix gear. They used to be a bit name in F16 gear but now it looks like they cobble this stuff together as a side business in their machine shop. You've been warned
See if you can find a different source.

it would be really tough to fit his gear into the AD F16 though as the PA gear doesn't rotate as it retracts. The duct work was designed with a hump in it to allow the wheels to fit while going straight in.
honestly I've never heard of a complaint about the matrix gear until the one fellow in this thread. I've seen some videos of jets being pounded down really hard on that gear without damage. Everything is so tight in an F16 I just cant see the 1/6 scale gear even coming close to fitting.

I already put it up in post #4. Probably have to copy and paste it. Rcu won't let it be a link for some reason.

My apologies, it worked when I first posted it. Now it doesn't. The page seems to be missing.
