Anyone think it's odd that one of the largest jet events in the country starts tomorrow and this is the first post about it? When you consider that Kentucky jets is 3 months away and the thread on it is already 3 pages long, just seems odd to me.

Not really odd... Frank Tiano does not come on this site. He does all his promotion on Facebook.

Lewis Patton does his promotion on both Facebook and RCU so it’s here also.

Gun....I understand what he means..usually you would have the people who would be attending out on RCU talking Florida Jets up about how excited they were to go and what friends they couldn't wait to see, what tents they were going to be in, etc. There has always been at least someone who starts the thread and others would jump on and post photos and stuff. I even noticed that it was really quiet on here about Florida Jets.

Exactly. I’m not even going and I started the thread. I can’t go this year but was I wanted to see pics and vids of the event but no one has made a thread so thought I would.
To be honest RCU isn’t as popular as it use to be... even a Jetpower thread about 7 or so years ago would easily be about 30 pages of posts. Last years barely made 4 to 5 pages.

Lot of buzz on Facebook about it.

I'll be there, camera in hand.

Good news bad news on that account.

I get frustrated with the photo interface here but I create a Facebook album, then post the public link here where you can view the pictures even without a FB account.

I understand that, Frank left RCU long ago, but as others have said there is usually some buzz about the event. For years it's been the official start of the flying season. There are usually threads on who's going and what are they bringing. What new stuff is going to be on display. Don't see any of that kind of stuff this year.

Got to the field at 430, just as they were about to wrap it up for the day so I didn't even get my camera out.

Pretty windy today with a better forecast for tomorrow and Saturday. Saw some neat stuff including an example of my new Havoc GTS and the new Core radio is on display.

Been flying my ass off! Having a great time!! Lots of pics on Facebook. Many people don’t put them on RCU because getting them to post here sucks.

The red/white/bl EA HAVOC was never level, except touching and leaving the ground! Awesome pilot! Crazy too! At least 2 rolls per second and accomplishing it all the way through a loop. Starting low and ending at the same low altitude exiting the maneuvers......still rolling at 2 rolls per second! Truly seemed like it!

That is the new smaller size GTS version of the Havoc. 2M size and Pablo driving, that man can really fly.....
