Well Houston we have a issue, the Y pipe I bought is not going to work, now that I cut a hatch at the top, now I need a shorter Y pipe, now I was going to put turbine upside down, the pipe will work, so now I need to order a custom made Y pipe, well it's only money.

Ok, pickup some plywood and order some Hysol glue, everybody rave over this glue, so I will give a try, on building the turbine, take a few pictures for the measurement of the Y-pipe, 1moparman1 makes custom Y pipes, are may have one already made you, I will sell my FeiBao Y pipe, here some pics.

Ok, boys and girls, I guess while I'm waiting on the Hysol to come in, I can take a look at the main wings and see what servo are in them, I'm replacing them with Hitec 7954 servo, the rudder are going to be replace with the 7954hs servo, I can use the 645 servo for a throttle servo in my 40% planes.

Ok, guys and girls, I'm undecided on putting the turbine upside down from the bottom or putting it right side up from the top, the cost is $600.00 if I put and mount it from the top, the cost of a custom Y pipe, or use my $300.00 feibao that fit perfect from the bottom, the 80oz tank, that I was going to use, would need to be mounted somewhere else, any help would be appreciated on which way to go. ??

Further forward means easier to balance. The more aggressive the angles in the pipe are the less efficient the pipe is, where is easier access for the engine? I'd it's propane start keep in mind that the closer to the top the glow plug is the easier the starts.

Ok, I have a half of a chance of getting a bifurcated pipe made, I had to cut the last former out in the center, which would allow for a straighter V of the pipe.

I'm not an expert by any stretch when it comes to pipes and pipe efficiency but I see what I would think are a couple of concerns. First off, that is not a bell mouth. That's a funnel that looks to me like it should be attached to a full bypass. The shape of a bellmouth and the gap that should be between the turbine and the front of the bellmouth are what allows air to be pulled into the pipe and help cool things down. I would expect to see overly high temperatures with the set up you have. The only other thing that I'm not sure of and maybe it's not important, but every bifurcated pipe I have seen has a straight section leading from the bellmouth to where the pipe Y's. That may or may not be an issue, I've just never seen one that is just a V shape with no straight pipe section. That funnel you have may or may not work, but here is what every bifurcated pipe I've ever seen has looked like and what a proper bellmouth looks like. If you were running full ducting from inlets to a bypass direct to the pipe I'd have no concerns with that funnel and as I say it might be fine I really don't know, but I'd be extremely cautious of your temps when doing first runs.
