ConcordE please, Dave, ConcordE

E for Europe, E for Entente Cordial as Wedgie Benn once stated !

We managed a real Concorde into Exeter, 2000 m, so the JetPower site should be OK.

Martin Pickering did a nice review of the booths at Jet Power :

Some new models are coming ! From what I've seen, Lizard from SAB, a turboshaft from JetMunt for 90 helis, new big model from Airworld, some new sport jets in pretty huge size, new F100 from TomaHawk. I can't remember all of them but hopefully we will have extensive reviews or posts in RCU !

Martin, i know that you will be very busy during Jet Power, however if you get a chance it would be nice to see another around the tent video when everything is up and running where you would have a little more time and not be so rushed due to closing.

Thanks,
Robert

Default Friday

Great day at Jetpower today. All the booths were up and running and the weather was good for the flight displays. I'll see if I can get some answers to some of the posted questions. First I'll try to load some photos.

Well, it's a little tedious loading these pics one at a time from my phone. I've taken photos of many of the booths/planes and will load more when I get home (unless someone beats me to it). Here are a few more teasers for now.

Default Pablo Flies!

I can report that Pablo made his first flight today around two thirty and did great! Among a day of impressive flights by some really good pilots, Pablo's routine with his SSHavoc stood out as unique and one of the best.

Roy,
I didn't see the Intruder today. I'll try to ask BOGO.

This is the MIBO booth.

Any other new small jet models (P20/X45/Merlin 70 size)?

Or are all the new toys huge?

You’re the best Craig!!

i can upload multiple pics from my phone using the “pic” icon just left of the smiley icon in the reply window.

The “pic” icon looks like a window frame with two little mountain pics and a black sun/moon.

Another great day at Jetpower. The highlight has to be the huge Concorde flight this afternoon. It was joined by two Red Arrow Hawks flown by a couple of Brit team flyers. Pretty spectacular when the Concorde flew by with the Hawks on either side with their colored smoke. I got a semi-decent video with my phone which I will try to post when I get home. I suspect other videos will surface since most of the thousands there were also videoing.

Default Concorde video

Well, I managed to upload a video of the Concorde flight today (hopefully the link works). Cut me a little slack on the quality. I was holding my phone over my head to clear the fence and couldn't really see the screen. Plus, the sun angle was bad. Anyhow, you will get the idea. It's the last couple of minutes of the flight and landing. Notice the nose section is lowered for the last pass and landing.

Had a chat with the comparf/Pirotti folks about the f-35. It's supposed to be ready next Summer (2020). Full up price with gear and tanks will be 10k. Could have gotten 15 percent off by ordering at the show but I wasn't sure you were good for it 🙂. I took a photo of the spec sheet.

Another video that was taken at Jetpower 2019 on the large 1/6 scale Concorde flying, without any problems.
One flyby was with the nose angeled down but the landing approch was made with the nose in up position (in this video).
