Hi Guys,
A Friend of mine and me just picked up our T33's and I have to say Quality is really good.
My Friend purchased an Intairco iTrap UAT for it and we dry fitted it on the Jet but noticed that with the cockpit we aren't able to put the canopy on as the cockpit does far down the to the fuselage.
We were both thinking how and where to install the UAT so that it works but didn't find any solutions now.
Does anyone use the iTrap and could tell me where you put it?
Regards,
Phil

Getting close to maiden T33
Hi folks,
I have been informed the elevators were made too large for this scale. Suggestions to use less elevator and less flaps have been mentioned. Has anyone noticed issues with throws in manual for elevator and flaps?
Another thing, I have seen a couple CGs mentioned, one is 7 inches back from leading edge at wing root and manual shows 6.75 inches. Which is going to be good for maiden?
I am near ready to maiden my Ace Maker II. I have a kingtech 100G4 for power. Any tips before maiden would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Jeff

Hi your welcome 😁👍
Yes of course disconnect the power supply of the gear after each flight and a note. Before you ready to start your engine!!! Let the landing gear in and out once so that your switch for the landing gear is in the correct position and to check that all landing gear is correctly retracted and extended again. I always do this before every flight and start the turbine

I have a SWIWIN 120 in mine . It flies great and tracks very well ,its just a handful to land ....if you land fast with little flap its not bad but if have to much flap like in video the elevator goes unresponsive then it kicks in and it balloons up . Talked to Mike at Global and he said they are working on new elevators for it . Hoping to get new ones for spring . Take offs and general flying it great ...Landings that's another story... I have about 10 flights on it and just land it on the fast side with minimal flap and some crow ,,,,only issue is we fly off grass so landing fast with non trailing link gear is very hard on the gear and airframe

Mine has been ready for maiden since September. After seeing Mike's video of his having issues on landing, it spooked me. Also heard of the new elevators coming and hope this corrects the issue.
I did read not to use the recommended flap setting in the manual. Need to reduce it in order to not lose elevator authority.
In the meantime, I have other aircraft I am building and flying so my T-33 has been put on the side burner for now.

Any updates on this? Have new elevators been designed? Is everyone experiencing the same issue and does a more forward CG help at all?

Hi
I was having the same issue landing. I trimed the jet using flight modes with a slight nose up on full flap. This made all the differnce it will now land at walking pace with a little trottle on.
