Default Aviation Jets Sparrow CG

Looking for the CG for this jet, a club member bought one recently and he needs info on it, like travel distances on the controls and CG. it was sold by Pacific Jets, anyone?

Thank you.

Global Jet Club sells this jet now. Here are the recommended numbers:

There should have been 2 wooden plates included to slip over the spar between the fuse and wing to hang the jet to balance.

The plates will give a Cg at 330 mm which works just fine.

Aileron
H – 25 mm
M – 20 mm
L – 18 mm

Elevator
H – 30 mm
M – 20 mm
L – 15 mm

Rudder
20 mm

Flaps
Mid 50 mm
Full 95 mm

Crow
13 mm

Cg
305 mm – 330 mm

Just to be clear, I have not flown this jet. I've done the install and setup on 2 Sparrows for Mike Lin at GJC, one with an Acex 140 and the other with a P-180RX. He's been very positive about the way it flys.

The main thing is that you are going to have to add weight to the nose. Even with everything well forward and the batteries all the way in the nose. So use large capacity batteries.

You should have received plywood plates like these in the photo to do the Cg check.

I built one this year. I ordered the vectored thrust unit for mine. I’m balanced at 49mm in front of the mains according to Xicoy balancer. Like said before build as far forward as possible. I have 2x 2s5000 Lipo’s and a 3s5000 Lipo in the nose along with 8oz of lead. I blew the pipe up with the Rhino last week. Ordered a new pipe from Grumania and hoping that it’s light enough to remove all the lead from the nose.

There's a ton of wires under those boards. Not fun if you have to get in there and mess with any of it.

I painted the equipment boards with Krylon. I don't know what jesse2357 used for his.

https://www.krylon.com/products/fine...extured-finish

Quick sanding with 320, no primer and blue painters tape to mask the places where the velcro goes. Several colors available, covers nicely, 2 - 3 coats. Around $12 per can.

I decided the cutouts for the wires looked bad so I 3D printed some liners for the holes to make it look better.
