Every jet meet this year needs to do a missing man formation flight.
I was sad enough when he sold his namesake company.
Bob, you were a quirky and lovable engineer who brought us, and many, much joy. Thank you for all you did. My next bandit flight will be a little more sentimental.
He left a legacy and his wonderful daughter who, thankfully, still helps us with our hobby!

Very saddened to hear this news. It is no over statement to say that Bobs products have been a major source of joy in my life. I have been a BVM fan since the early days, and have always looked at his designs as being a blend, of art and solid engineering. The look great and fly even better.
I think of the countless hours I have spent in the workshop, lavishing attention, labour and love on his kits. Or at the field, enjoying that special satisfaction that only comes from flying a BVM design. (Nothing flies like a Bandit )
Thank you Bob. My world would have been a little less joyful without your creations.

I thank Bob V for all he taught us, through building his kits. I think of how we used to do things back in the ducted fan days, then after I built his Aggressor 2 kit, and how it was so much better than the previous DF stuff I had built. And that all carried through to our current turbine era. Thanks Bob!
