That area is less critical, but if you have 9462 that is perfect. Or 30minute epoxy with flock/talc
Will let the factory know it was part missed. Thanks

My Feedback: (8)
Would sure like to see some more pics of radio installations under the canopy. On my trainer type jets I have just ran two 4200 nimh 6 volt batteries into two heavy duty normal type switches and then on into the radio. Would this work with 11 high end digital servos on my Carf Ultra Flash EVO?????? Would really be nice if this installation did not turn into the usual rats nest...........thanks in advance.

eradarusa.....
I'm at that stage of install, getting the equip tray planned out. When I finish I will post some pictures. Your servos, are they high voltage? If they are, you're defeating the purpose of that voltage of said servos with Nimh. Jam some Lipos/Lion in there, may need the extra weight for CG purposes

But using 2 batteries and switches and then just connecting them in parallel on the receiver end is a bit of a weird setup?
The only "protection" you get out of that setup is against switch failure?

I would say, if you want to keep it simple: use something like a Powerbox Sensor Switch.
It gives you redundancy on your dual battery setup. And things just keep on running should 1 battery fail + you can tell from the led light something is off when you're back in the pits.
If you wanted to get fancy you could have a voltage sensor on both packs, feeding telemetry back to to you while flying.

Two switches/ batteries is a time bomb. One battery goes bad it takes out the other. The Flash series of jets were designed around the Powerbox Sensor switch, the V3 is another step forward.
You can use your 5N NiMH packs with a Sensor switch if you wish

OK Evo guys!
Thanks to my friend Colin, he held my hand for the Unilight install. I wanted to share my experience with the install. I took a few pictures along the way, the install was really easy and straightforward. Easy Peasy!!!!

no problem! I have to say I was really scared when I tore into a brand new wing to put these things in but it’s been nothing but easy. It’s like they were meant to be there the whole time.

Here’s a little progress report on the Uni Light install. I used hot glue to install the lenses and light assy. The nose door light hot glue is a tad messy for me, but that light ain’t going anywhere!
