Default Spend my money what would you buy?

Need some advice, all my current jet buddy's make a lot more $ than me, so saving for a year for 1 jet is odd to them.

So I have a few nice jets but I have never bought a new to me jet, Im currently deployed in Saudi Arabia until September. I really want to buy something nice and new, but it must work off grass, be somewhat easy to land, and I don't want to spend more than 3.5k for jet with no electronics/ motor.

What I currently have for jets:
Airworld Cougar
Havoc SS
Carf Eurosport
Byron f15 (k180)
ME163 110in
Used Pilot RC J10 needs painting

Had/Sold/crashed
centry jet f106
FEJ 1/9 F15. Hard to land
FEJ 1/9 F16 sold to New jet guy
Carf Rookie crashed 3D
Xtream F86 flame out
Velox XL AMT 450 sold to New guy
my favorite Aviation Diamond Large over speed

I have been doing alot of reading and I'm thinking hard on these 4 and can't decide. Is there anything out there in the 3.5K that you felt it was your best jet or you would buy again?

thinking:
Xtream f4
Xtream F18F
Xtream F16.75
SAB HAVOK

My concern for these 4 is landings, only 1 video of the f4 and HAVOK why?

Thanks for any ideals

Don’t buy a SAB Havok, everyone I know here who bought one sold it quite quickly, it’s a great show machine, but a horrible general flyer.

Not the Havok...for sure, I have a broken one...only the fuse is broken....nothing else and I don’t want to sell it because it’s a not something I want someone else to have trouble with.....

Can it be flown, yes...it doesn’t fly great but not horribly it’s too heavy as well....the CG from the Factory is very very wrong....and cause a lot of guys, me included to do damage to the fuse.....and discover it’s weak point....overall appalling shape but bad design, and that really surprised me since their Heli are great...I have own quite a few of them....the reason I got one of the first 5 airframes in N/A was because it was SAB...

I agree with the above suggestion.

You would not be disappointed in the Rebel, no matter what size you select. I have the Pro version but have seen all the versions fly. Their owners all say that they really like the way all the sizes fly. I don't think that you would go wrong.

Thanks, I believe the pro will fly similar to my Havoc SS. I was looking more towards scale options. Thanks

May wanna get a shipping quote from skymaster..
Shipping is well over $1,000 on most models which will blow your budget.
I ordered a 1/6.75 F-16 3 years ago and shipping back then was $800.

I would save a bit more and go with a BVM pnp.
It will be worth it.

Thanks, I wasn't counting shipping. And I read your thread post on the F16, thanks for information.

I'll be honest I check the classifieds every day on RCGROUPS/RCUNIVERSE for the last 5 years or so. There really has been a decrease in used jets, Maybe the extra $ in shipping has something to do with it

Yeah maybe so.
I was very happy with the F-16 didn’t have much to complain about. If I could do it again I would just pay a bit more for the 1/6 BVM.
That being said, I do not like F16s on grass unless it’s like a golf course putting green.
Have you considered a hawk?
My CARF hawk is one of the best flying and most versatile jets ive owned. Flys like a sport jet, trailing link gear, and looks/is scale.
T1 models has a very nice one that may be close to your budget.

They are a world of better than any Havoc SS I have seen. Much slower flying and won’t bite you if you haul it around a corner when travelling slow.
The 2m Rebel flies in a nice scale manner, just maidened one for a 78 year old customer.

How about the CARF BAE Hawk in 1:5.3 scale? It falls under their sport jet category but is a scale model.

Something with trailing link gear will be forgiving. L-39?
