Has anyone used one of these instead of a Server and Valve?

I have not used the MiniHobby valve, but I did check it out at last year's Superman.
I've only used the valves from Bob Wilcox at JetCat...
http://www.jetcatusa.com/acces.htm - you need to scroll down a little
FYI, the JetCat valve is a lot lighter than the MiniHobby one.
In my roo, I have one for my spring air retracts & another in proportional mode for my BVM brakes - both systems work as advertised.

DIsaacks and Easytiger,
If you go to the goldenwest site you can buy a single valve which is used for either brakes or a spring air type of gear which is 65.00 or you can buy the double valve which looks likes two singles crammed together and this is used for air up/air down gear. I have both types in my bobcat and they work flawlessly and are a joy to set up. The big plus is that they don't leak and you don't have to change out O-Rings. I think the solenoid in them are rated at over 15,000 hours of constant operation so for our purposes they will last for years. Also, they can withstand up to 200lbs of pressure so they can be used for larger jets as well. I have attached a pictures of the ones I have in my bobcat the one on the left is my dual valve used for retracts and the the one on the right is a single and is used for brakes.

Hi,
I used the Minihobbies Retract and Brake valves in my Roo.
Read the instructions on both units, they need to be initialized !
They work very nicely. I wire tied them to the header tank tray.

You'll dump too much air without a restrictor(s) in the drain line.
I use Robart #189 restrictors - they're made for 1/16 ID lines & come 4 in a pkg.
In my Roo with BVM brakes, 1 restrictor in the drain line was not enough. I changed to 3 in series & it works perfect.
I use a Robart #191 (30c.i.) tank that supplies BOTH my retracts & brakes & I have absolutely no problems.

You should check out following web page.
He got all the electronic valves and components around
turbines and gears. Specially comparing the dollar to euro.
i thing its close to one by one.
Using the projet ecu once, i guess you will never switch back.
Also with his door sequencer or brake valves. If you got valves you can just purchase the electronic to operate the valves. http://www.projet-ecu.de/

17,50 euro i think is just for the electronic to operate the valve
complete with the valve is about 38 euro.
but you can get the valve also direct from festo and just use the electronic from projet
gerhard
