Default Schadenfreude

Hello Laura,

The German word for it is "Schadenfreude", and you are right, it is not nice when it happens to one's own jet plane. Good luck to you.

M.C Helvacioglu,
Everyone asks was there any crashes if the dont go to a meet.
They also want to know why it crashed, sometimes its good to know so that you dont have it happen to you

Regards
Laura

“Well, I finally got my pictures back from the developer! This was my first experience with Florida Jets and I must say that I was like a kid in a candy store! I had a great time and learned a lot that will help me succeed in the future. I helped Dean Wichmann crew his Bobcat with PST J600 power, he even let me at the sticks a couple of times! After a few flights on the cat we had a 600R laying around and decided to give her a little more push. The extra 2.5 pounds of thrust made a HUGE difference, cruise power was now flown at 1/2 power as opposed to the 3/4 stick with the standard 12 pounder. The AirPac boys were flying one of their F-15s on 600R power, I thought that it was quite impressive that an airplane that big flew with that little engine, I guess I don't have to worry about my Stingray being underpowered! I had a great time and got to meet a lot of nice people. I look forward to hitting some of the other big meets in the future!â€

Guys I was at FJ in 2002 and there was a guy that had a Hawker Horizon business jet that he brought there to maiden flight it. Then when his time came there was some problem with the engines on the ramp so he didn't fly it there afterall. I was wondering if anyone knows who it was and the jet and what ever happened to it. I think there was a pic of it in a magazine, it was really nice.

I wish there were more General Aviation jets like business jets that modelers were interested in. I know everyone likes the military jets but a Cessna Citationjet, LearJet, Raytheon Premier I, etc. would make some really neat models. I guess the interest in them just isn't there.
