Well it went great ( with 30mph wing today) but that was not going to stop me anyway. Here are pic with thrust tube, and burn marks, exhuast melting , monokote riping off. also have vid coming soon. DO you guys fly in 30 mph wind???

Well, if i got it right, you have scratch built this aircraft, right ?
It 's a real achievement, congrats man !
The fiberglass cover may be too close to the engine.... Make sure airflow is strong enough as well by cutting the fan shroud a bit just before the engine...

Well i dont know how fast but it was cutting thru 30 mph wind it was a smooth flight, Then on the final approach thats were the fun began, this F-15 jump around in the air ,you know what i mean. but i had alot of fun.

You definitely want to get more airflow over the top of the cylinder head. It looks like it's getting too hot. All it will take is one lean run, to burn a hole in the top of the piston. In fact, when it happened to me it burned up the piston, liner and the cylinder head.

YEA i think its to close to. Did not want to cut fan shroud but i will and make a new taller fiberglass cover . (remold the plug again). THANK YOU Strykaas

Well this week went better . Thanks guys for advice . Cut the shroud , it made a diff, it runs cooler idles better. this week we had a 10mph wind. flying was smooth a fast.
