Marcel Lahaie Mirage 2000
Does any one out there have this jet.Just recieved mine today.Happy with the overall kit.But the one drawing you get is very vague.Shows C.G. wing servo placement, control throws and spar placement.Has no picture of were the other formers go.Particular the engine mount. As I see it the intake is to long. Please if any one is familiar with this jet,can you post some pictures of your installation setup.Thank you for your responce.

RE: Marcel Lahaie Mirage 2000
I bought one of Marcel's kits last year and have done a little work on it. He has three sizes and I have the middle one ( 63" length, 42" wingspan) and I plan on installing a new OS91/Dynamax system that I have lying around. You're right, there isn't much information given on the supplied drawing, but then there isn't a lot of 'building' to do. The only former that wasn't installed for me was the nosegear bulkhead so I could fit the gear to it before glueing in. The lite ply 'spars' included with it don't appeal to me so I'm going to engineer something thicker and stronger, also mounting the main gear retracts are going to be a challenge. That's part of the reason it isn't flying by now!
I don't have any pictures of it yet, I'll try to get some soon.
John.

RE: Marcel Lahaie Mirage 2000
I have the small one setup for EDF - HW-620 fan, 14 Sub-C cells. I also have the "Large one" - 63" long fuse, it has a Dynamax and OS .91 in it.
I haven't flown the glow version yet, it needs a bit more work but is basically RTF. I thought I had it ready to go at the end of last year but the ducting collapsed and the tank got sucked into the fan at high throttle the first time I ran it. I'll strengthen the inlets this Spring sometime. I'm not sure that is a general problem, I had originally intended it for electric and about 6 or 7 pounds of thrust. Marcel may have made the inlets lighter than the glow version since he was aware of that.
Which one do you have?
