Who makes a good quality f-16?
Hey guys, I decided on a f-16. Please tell me of some good quality f-16 manufacturers. I would prefer a to have a larger than average jet but whatever is good quality I will take. So, what are some good f-16 manufacturers? Thanks, Gary.

Yellow and BVM are great for 12lb class. I know Spiderjets makes one for 24lb size, i also think either avonds or aviation design makes one. Byron is supposed to be comming out with a conversion kit for thiers, 17 lb size. I WISH skymaster would make an ARF. HINT!! russ

HI
Avonds F16 is the way to go. Will fly the full speed range high alpha to max power. Philip is a gentlemen to deal with and his kits are good
my views, no connection other than a happy user of Philip's designs

The one that i like is the 1:5 scale F-16. It's a bit too pricy but it's a great bird. It's even got working leading edge flaps. Check the picture gallery and other related stuff at

Hey guys. Just got into St. Louis and my hotel has a computer so why not use it . Was thinking it over on the plane and I am going to wait a few more months before getting into jets. I just want to make sure that I will be ready because it is a pretty big investment and i dont want to throw all that money down the drain by crashing right away. So, when I am ready in a few months I will come back to the Jets fourm and talk to you guys again. Talk to you guys later, Gary.

Man Gary the time off only lasted a month, I knew you couldn't stay away! Go with the Y/A F-16.

Spiderjets makes an excellent F16 kit, if you can wait a few days more than average for its arrival.

I dont know guys. I've been looking at all these awsome f-16's and I want them all. I guess I'm going to go with the Y/A f-16 with a BVM 96 and Viojett fan. But if I'm ever going to build a turbine f-16 I am seriously going to consider that 1:5 scale from www.jetteam.com. Thanks for all the help guys, Gary.

You might want to reconsider your power plant option with the Y/A F-16. To clarify my point, read the following thread:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/Yell...2025391/tm.htm
especially Shauns comments.
By the way, the color scheme of 1:5 F-16 is awesome (at least i like it)
Take care

RE: Who makes a good quality f-16?
For your information, my good friend Rudy Moerman has a complete (full option) BVM F-16 with Viofan, BVM motor,... which is partly built and he wishes to sell it at anyone offering him a reasonable price since he abandoned jets and prop planes for R/C helicopters.
I've seen the plane several times in his workshop and I can tell you you can buy it with confidence. Everything is never been used.
You can contact with him by e-mail on : [email protected]
Best Regards,
Nicolas.

I am powering my Y/A F-16 with a dynamax fan unit, OS .91 VRDF and JMP Systems II muffled tune pipe. It should be more than sufficient power for a 12-14 lb bird and it will cost less too.

I'm selling my RTF, your Rx, Spider Jet 16, w/ or w/o AMT 180SP. See the advert in the Jet Classifieds, a ways down.
It's a rugged model, T-Birds scheme, mechanically/structurally excellent. Fifty or so flights, some cosmetic flaws, but looks very good. W/ engine, $5500, w/o $3000. It's a steal, but I gotta move on.

Hi,
Don't worry at all that your bird will be underpowered with the O.S. .91/Dynamax setup. At any rate, using the BVM setup in this bird wouldn't help that problem if it did exist. The original Yellow A/C F-16C was about 20 mph slower than the BV one, but that had more to do with inlets than with fans. Your new Y/A F-16C will get up and go JUST FINE with the stock setup!
