Need/Want Large Scale F-16 Kit!
Is anybody producing a large scale F-16 kit like the Liebetrau or Top Gun kits. Looked on Liebetrau home page and it looks like its gone. Any ideas or leads appreciated.

RE: Need/Want Large Scale F-16 Kit!
A friend of mine has bought one with the gear and is trying to get his money back after problems with the gear not working. They apparently don't have the funds for a return. They have had the gear for about three months now but haven't had time to look at them.So if any one is looking for one in the states hear is one for you with partial working gear if they come back.

Or this one.
Model: F-16c (Block 32)
Scale: 22.5%
length: 133" including nose pitot
engine: AMT Netherlands Olympus hp (51.7 lbs thrust)
servos: Hitech digital/programable HS-5735MG giant scale
radio: Multiplex Royal Evo 12 Ch.
features:
functional bomb release (MK83 dumb bombs)
wing tip AIM 9 rockets functional (first inboard hard point AIM 120 AMRAAMs are static. The rocket rails are interchangable on the pylons so the Sidewinders and AIM 120s could be configured as desired)
functional turkey feathers (Pratt Whittney engine) ( way more narley looking than the GE engine feathers) see attached pix
lighting system with strobe
flare dispensers I think it would be cool to come in steep and pickel off a couple MK 83s and then pull up hard with the flares confusing any SAMs that might be on the way lookin' for lunch!
functional canopy
functional centerline tank
functional speed brakes
all composite air frame (engraved pannel lines and rivets)
I have 3 sets of gear and internal hardware finished now and will pull 3 airframes from the molds to begin flight testing. I have just begun the molding process now.

Kim Gardner

Yes, The feathers open to full burner when the throttle is above 90%. The nose gear is pneumatic as well and extends the strut to full lenght at 100% throttle.

I don' t know quite how big you are looking at.
Aviation design has one (in the piccy).
www.adjets.com
And so do spiderjets
www.spiderjets.be
They're not as big as the others though.

RE: Need/Want Large Scale F-16 Kit!
I also thought that AD jets were quite large, but then I meet Eric (The owner of AD, who is photographed with all the jet on their site) He is only about 5 feet tall. So now I know why the AD jets seem so big Sorry Eric
The AD F-16 is scale 1/6,8, same as the Avonds F-16.

Hi Albert,
I don't have a web site as yet. I'll need to do some flight testing and complete any pattern changes before I could even estimate production costs and pricing.
regards,
Kim

RE: Need/Want Large Scale F-16 Kit!
I have one of Eddie big F-16's. He is still in the development stages but all of the molds are ready for limited production runs. I also have a set of the scale gear that he developed. Contact him as he can put you on the list of people that want one when they are ready for sale.

RE: Need/Want Large Scale F-16 Kit!
Lots of good large F-16s out there. I was looking for an F-16C kit but bigger than the AD or Avonds.
The NL kit looks like an A model. Seems like they may have some problems also.
Kim's looks fantastic but not yet available.
Saw Eddies' first one at Florida jets a few years ago. Nice size but not available yet either.
Does anyone know anything about the Top Gun C model kit on there web site?
Still cant get on the Liebetrau web site. Are they still making them?
Dont need a 1:1 scale anymore. Got 1900 hrs in Block 1A thru Block 50 already. Thats why I want to fly the RC version.
Check 6,
Gary
