Tom,

It is recommended to use a 7.2v/1400MAH with the 500 ECU. I have it in stock if you need one.

The newer red battery that we changed to with the X-series engines is always the better battery even for the older systems. It uses the red SRC low impedance 1250 cells. These cells have 1/2 the internal impedance(resistance) of the 1400's previously used. The capacity is slightly lower but the lower internal resistance keeps the voltage from dropping as far when the high current starter motor comes on. I am pretty sure Carlos has these available also.
