Default F-5E Color Scheme ?

I’m currently looking for some eye catching color schemes for my new F-5E project. Does anyone have any good color scheme sources or clear documentation that you can provide? One particular one I’m thinking of is the silver (metal) finish in F-5A, but I’m not sure if there are any F-5E models out there with this scheme. I’d appreciate anyone’s idea.

Eric

My favorite is an all black F5 scheme.I see the NAVY F5's fly here on a weekly basis as Adversary jets for the F18's stationed here at Oceana NAS.I live moreless right near the back gate to the base so I get to see their dog fighting action all the time-Very cool indeed!! The F5's here are sharp as hell -all solid gloss black with the red Russian stars on the tail & cordinating markings .Of course on such a big RC jet version the sun will play hell on the surface

Just a thought anyways.

I just saw a swedish F-5E aerial team color scheme...simply amazing and eye catching. When i get an F-5 or f-20, thats what Im going to put on it.

Hey Eric - I've saved literally 100's of photos in preparation for building my F-5. Zero in on what you are looking for (US Navy, USAF, aggressor, normal unit markings, prototype schemes, iger Meet, national air show teams, etc..) and I'll send or post some.

Hi Barry,
Saw your post about F5's. I am currently building a 3.45 metre Liebertrau kit of the F5F, do you have color schemes for the "F" model, also trying to find accurate 5 or 6 viewsof the 'F'.
Plenty of drawings for the e model, but not the dual seat. any assist would be appreciated from down under
Regards
Dave

There are some very interesting F-5 schemes, to be sure. Netherlands, Brazil, Greece, Norway, Turkey, and of course the Swiss have all done some unique "special display" color schemes. There are also a bunch of cool US aggressor schemes to choose from.

Some web sites with F-5 info and history...
