Default Drawing of Facet

Hi guys!

I am looking for a drawing of the Facet 1200. My dad is building one and I want to start with the finish-layout. It is always better to have all the stickers, decals, the paint and the idea how to paint it, when you come close to covering the model. It keeps you going to see how it will look like when finished .

Thank you for your help.

Good Luck,

I sent an e-mail to Kerry Sterner on Jan. 29th for a three view to design a color scheme for my facet 2300 which is almost ready to finish. No answer yet. I guess I'll have to try to draw my own. It's a cool model and I can't wait to get it done.

Not trying to be a smart ***** but your dad has the full size plans, no? Hard to beat actual size for what your doing. Well at least for the sticker portion.

Hi!

@b.bixel: You're right, but for the sticker-size, I could use the finished airplane-parts, that is not the problem. But if you want to try different color-schemes, different colours and different sticker-styles, and see how they show up on that particular airplane: You better not use your dad's full-size-plans

@ Georg: Mail is on it's way. Thank you for your help.

It's me again.....

Just to show you, what I need that drawing for. Here are three pictures of the AVR I finished and one picture of the layout I made before we started to cover the airplane with heat-shrink. If you don't like it on your drawing, don't put it on the real thing.

Just a quick note to advise those who have tried to get in touch with me that I have had a computer crash several weeks ago and I have not been online but for my office computer. My new computer is scheduled for delivery tomorrow and I should be back online by Thursday or Friday.

Attached is a 2 view in response to your requests.

Thank you Kerry!!!!!

I'm just starting to cover the model and these will really help. Now I just have to find my crayon set.

Thank you to F106A and George for your help.

Now back to building,

Hi David,

If you fancy coming up with a US Navy type scheme (I need high viz) I would be keen to see the results, as I am thinking this might be a good scheme and don't have your skill and imagination!!!

Maybe I could finish my Facet in your scheme, but only if your interested!

Hi Gazzer!

I am a litle bit lazy. I just made a rough drawing. Maybe you can just tell me if that is what you are looking for. Or if you want anything to be changed, to see how it looks like.

Hi David,

No that is fine, I think maybe some extra visibility on the tail/fin would be good....

Wonder too wheather a sharks mouth might be fun at the front??

Really grateful!!

Whose got the monopoly on good ideas eh??

David,

That is really cool,

I don't think this version needs sharks teeth!!

I am more than happy and very grateful, the decals finish it off quite nicely.

Now I have to do justice to the designers, the model designer Kerry and the paint designer David!!

I do really appreciate, this, the white and grey work very well together and the high vis bits should just about keep me in orientation.

When done, I will send you some photographs!!!

All the very best,

Gazzer

Here is a good looking shark mouth on George's facet 1200 HP. The decal is from the YA F-4 Phantom decals. Just put a black nose on your Navy scheme and add the mouth.

Facets sure look nice without the landing gear.

Just wait, you may just see one down the road. The Facet RG (retractable gear) [8D]

BTW David, nice work on the schemes. The Navy trainer is my all-time favorite for some reason. I just like the way it looks.

George

P.S. I love that shot Gary

G'day!

I am always looking for attractive but easy paintjobs. Well, there are just a few, I really like. One of them is the KingCat of Scott Marr. Just two colours, no difficult schemes. Have a look at this:

And this is what I made out of the Facet. Not yet perfect, but that is why I paint in Corel first .

Someone who has lack and red flame-design for Corel? I was thinking about lack with a few red flames for the bottom...

BR,

David

Hihi!

Why Killfinger? Well, one of my friends (Thommy) killed my dad'y FC Beaver. No, the Beaver decided to leave active service and he held the transmitter . That was the reason why we called him Thommy Killfinger and we made a t-shirt for him in Hilfiger design. After a while we founded the Team Killfinger. Our goal is to destroy expensive model-airplanes to keep the manufacturer business going. That is the only way to make sure, that they (the manunfs) produce more and more kits. To join the club, you must have crashed at least a big model, a scale-model or a jet. I crashed a roo, a euro-firebird, a small CASA and the AV8R . That's why I am CEO of Team Killfinger. It started as a big joke (what it still is), but a few friends really want to become member. Well, they send us pictures of broken foamies and don't understand, that it is not what we are looking for....

I will post a pic from home tonight. A friend of mine from australia made some really good team-t-shirts. And everyone asks.....

I will come up with one or two more designs. I start liking that.

G'day David,
I wear my TEAM KILLFINGER shirt all the time - I think I am the only AUSSIE team member.
Are you coming out to Auss again this year, I have more jets for you to build, and I have already started filling the fridge with - you are a thirsty bugger.
