Yup, a baby Savex L-39.
Expect to see a lot of action from these the next few days, rumor has it J is on a mission with one. He vows to "take me out with it." If I try to come after him and that F-4.

Lots of setting up going on with the boys and girls from Hawaii and the Airpac models tent.
Several new jets and accessories will be on display, most notable at the moment, the new F-5 Tiger, F-18E single seat Superhornet, and a nice set of nozzles for their very popular F-15 model.

"Jet dogs" (as branded by their owner, BV himself.)
Now do these two have personality or what? Now this is no lie! I SWEAR THE LITTLE ONE MADE THIS FACE ---------> after I took this picture! I'm not kidding!, the big one just yawned and looked away.

As the sun set and the tents were zipped up for the evening, there is a strange aura about the place as the motorhomes and trailers begin to trickle in.
Looks like its going to be quite a show!

The pictures are great!
It looks like Florida Jets is becoming the "Daytona 500" for RC jet flyers.
Keep the pictures coming for those of us that could not make it.

Boy am I lucky. Sort of. Yesterday I'm told there is a meeting that I should be a part of in Tampa for Thursday morning. I couln't say I would not be working on Friday fast enough! Hopped on a plane, got to Fl went to the meeting and drove the 20 minutes over to FLORIDA JETS! around lunch time.
What a disappointment thus far weather wise. It's freezing outside with a steady rain. I must say it's great to see all my friends and make some new ones. But it's so darn cold here (Tiddy bit niply so to speak for a joke to be posted later ) anyway, just got back to the hotel. Drunken Debachery reports will be posted tomorrow morning. It will be hard to top last year's fun, but all the trouble makers are present and accounted for

Ok folks here's the story down here in Florida. Although its a bit chilly out with rain at the moment. There were several jets in the air this morning until about 1pm. Lots of trim flights and a bit of a show as many pilots are gearing up for what STILL promises to be one h#ll of a show!

I have quite a few pictures to post and will try to put some on here before I run off to the airport to pick up an arriving cheerleader. (heat in my room is'nt working.)
As you can see by the above link the forcast for the rest of the show is..................well................YOU SEE!
So here we go with a bit of the action from today................

The Turbo Raven flew quite a bit today, several flights of very impressive aerobatics including "Torque Rolls." This is a bird that has to be seen to be believed. The pictures do not do it justice.

Another dog.............and...............a nice..............airplane!, yea right there the yellow one. Its not a turboprop or jet but its still very nice.
Folks don't let the covers on the tents fool you. There is definately a lot of "meet and greet" going under those covers as everyone seems to be jumping from tent to tent and catching up on stories. Its a very warm and friendly atmosphere out here despite the temperature.

This character.
J flew quite a bit this morning with two of his "little birds" J is quite happy that he was able to "spank" Tommy Wood's JMP Firebird with his little F-86. (shown here to the left) (Tommy was at half throttle folks, but we haven't told J yet.)
