Default Why do you fly the turbine/plane you fly?

Just wondering what persuaded you to buy and fly that turbine/aircraft.

Thanks all.

Default How did I choose?

The Byron F-16 was the first----what else at the time?
The Byron Mig 15 the second---got a good deal--seemed right.
The Byron Bullet the third----needed a faster jet.
The BVM Viper-----need for speed was coming on
The Miller F-4 Phantom---wanted something kind of scale
The ITP F-104 Starfighter--scale and challenging--got both...
The Yellow F-18 Hornet--Scale and just neat
The BVM F-86 Sabre--same as Hornet
The Avonds Rafale---scale --neat plane, looks , macho, ego trip
The Jetcat--all balsa and ply agressor look alike--got a good deal

The BVM Mig Turbine--just the natural progression, scale, speed power and I just had to experience owning a torch before I burned out on this hobby ;-)

The Hotspot--still to be built--easy to fly (maybe?) and easy to maintain turbine flier that looks great....

Default Bullet

John,

I built it with the 91 in it. Depending on the altitude and the temperature, whether or not I was flying it with the cheater hole open or closed, I would say some where around the 130 to 140 mark would not be an exageration.

I like it a lot except that it is kind of tuff to see in the air at times. Have to keep your eye on it at all times--same if not worse with the BVM viper.

The one thing that I don't like about the Bullet is how low it sets on the ground. It really taxi's well in a crosswind but will scare the h--l out of you on liftoff if you are not careful--you should know you own the black one with colored flares on the wings and tail, don't you??? ;-)

haha, you know it, it is very hard to see in the air, I dont think its too bad but in turns it just keeps wanting to roll over. No biggie but have to watch it!

Thanks!!

OK you just said turbines so here it goes.

1) BVM Balsa Bandit- fast, great flying airplane, I like the lines, did I say fast!!!

2) BVM F-4 - Scale, great flying airplane, excellent airplane for turbine becasue it can carry a lot of fuel.

3) BVM Bobcat - Relaxing to fly, not a high stress airplane at all, it will fly from grass, and is just a great yank around everyday flyer.

4) Hotspot - Still needs to be finished, I wanted another plane to fly from grass, and to test new engines, radio gear, etc... before they went into more expensive scale models.

Hot Spot - my sunday flyer, just fuel and go.
DCU-Jetmart F14 twin turbines. Ever since the movie Topgun,
got to have one.
FiberClasic Mig29. yet to be built, Got to have the "baddest" one .
AD Rafale - fast building, nice all around perfomance,
JHH F15 - kit lying around 4 year, finally built and turbinized it.
Nice scale jet trainer and looks good too.
ANK F18E Superhornet - Got the only kit produced. Two P160
on order will give this overweight beast the performance it
deserved.
ANK MB339. Got the kit for free. Nice flyer, bit heavy.
Craig Aviation YF22. - Had the original Miller's ducted fan version
flew real nice, so a P120 will be awsome in it
BVM F86 sabre - for ram 500 conversion
Yellow F16 - newly purchased. Saw Shaun's kit and what a bargain for $1100 including scale retracts.
