RE: JetJoe OWNERS thread
Do you think we could keep the Kingtech sales-pitches to a Kingtech thread?
Every time someone starts talking about a JJ in this JET-JOE thread, it gets hijacked by people pushing other products.
How would it go down if someone went on to another manufacturers thread and said "this product is rubbish - you should buy a blah-blah instead"
Seriously guys...
BJ

only the 1200 was ever listed before.

I kinda recall that when I bought my JJ-3000's, I had the option of getting them in RTF or build-your-self format... (??)

Xairflyer, I am not sure but I know he has not changed the plug since last week's run. I forgot to memtion that after his first run up the turbine did not auto cool. On second and other run ups it auto cooled. I am wondering if his pump is going out.......getting old , or a problem with the heat sensor' Thanks on behalf of Jack

if there is an inline filter check it first...sounds like a restriction some wherebetween pump and engine...if not there check the pump.

Thanks guys, Jack purchased the turbine used. I am a little afraid that it is the pump. Its age may be showing. If it is any suggestions for a replacement? There is no JJ person in the states anymore. There are about four JJ1400s flying at our field in Cincinnati and all have done well. One guy has about 130 flights on his and it still sings

the blue 1400 pump is a good pump .you can order direct from jetjoe website. Takes less than 2 weeks from them. I also use flight works pumps. if you need one quicker pm me I could loan one as I have a new one for a spare.

If you have definitely determined that the pump is bad or going, Iwould not waste my time with a JJpump. I have two of them with a 1400 and had different sorts of issues with both including not returning to idle. The Flightworks are a lot more money (~$150) for the 200 model which will do you fine in fact side by side they look virtually the same but the Flightworks pump as you'll hear all over the placeis a great pump and the company isgreat about customer service.
of course you really want to make absolute sure this is the pump before you splurge on something you may not need as others have alluded to.

RE: JetJoe OWNERS thread
or you could just buy a speed 300 electric motor from the car section of your local hobby shop and change the motor...or at minimum change the brushes if the problem is indeeed the pump..motor is about $10.

RE: JetJoe OWNERS thread
Ihave yet another JJpump that I did exactly that and used a speed 300 motor to replace the toasted JJmotor. Worked great for a while and then started giving consistent "speed low" errors. Iswitched to a Flight Works pump and have never had one issue since.
I think flight works stuff speaks for itself.

Hey Guys Need some help. My jj1400 came from gabe with a flight works pump. it started leaking after a crash so I just ordered a new pump. the motor was running fine but with the new pump it won't ramp up to idle. It's just shooting FIRE! like I have never seen.. what settings can I check or is this an engine issue? thx jeff

RE: JetJoe OWNERS thread
Jeff,
Is the pump the same as the one you got with the motor? The 200 is the one you want to be using. The pump start point should be ok at 2 or 3.Beyond that assuming you have the same pump and have not changed any Fadec settings, there could besomething else wrong as a result of crashing. If you hit hard enough to screw up your pump then yourfuel needles mightnot be in order but Iwould check everything else first. Iwould also check your fuel lines and fittings (under the cowl) to make sure nothing is leaking.
