RE: SHIPPING QUESTION
John,
I don't know about puerto rico, but I just UPSed one back to Thailand and it cost $117. You can just go to your UPS package store and they have all the forms.

RE: SHIPPING QUESTION
Don't be concerned, Just make sure you have it packed professionally and you will not have any problems. I've shipped jets all over the world with no problems (one bad with Fed-Ex, but settled) so a Turbine is very unlikely to get damaged. Have your buyer pay the extra $10.00or $20.00 to insure it for the full amount and you'll be just fine.
Just my $0.02

RE: SHIPPING QUESTION
I been in the cargo business for quiet a while...and had send turbines from down here to CA, about your same trip.
I do not consider the original jetcat packing quiet adequate. Instead I wrap the turbine with 1.5" cushion mat like the ones use to make sofas....about 2 laps or whatever it takes to avoid the turbine going loose in the box.
Then some tape to avoid unwrapping.
The width is about 4 inches larger in each side of the turbine.
I always use DHL...and the cost of shipping a ~12 pounds volume/weight box is around US$60 from here to CA. Insurance never exceed the 1% of the value insured.
Good luck

I have decided it is too much of a hassle and risk that at this time i do not want to undertake.
Will keep all shipping to the lower 48 at this time.

RE: SHIPPING QUESTION
John:
Hi, it's me who wanted to buy the turbine from you, while I understand your concern because of not having any past experience shipping to PR, I can tell you you risk nothing at all. PR is a US territory, mail service is provided by the United States Postal Service and all federal laws and regulations regarding mail fraud protect you and myself, Avicom can confirm that. Actually using priority mail to ship this turbine would cost the same to shipping your turbine from springfield to Joplin MO!!, or Kansas City, Little rock or Dallas(I have known a lot of people in the past who live in the NW Arkansas region, Kansas city and south MO) I don't frequent much RCU because I mostly fly big EDF's (you can check my trader rating on ezone) and I'm moving from electrics to turbines. If you still like to sell your turbine I still have the USPS MO's with your name and address.
Let me know
