#1 Byron pipe
A byron #1 pipe is too small for the 91. A #4 or better yet a #5 is the way to go.
I did use the #3 at one time . It worked but I had overheating problems with the engine. The #1 pope was used at first with the 65 and 77 size engine for a short while

pipes
I was just refering to the Byron line of pipes in reference to the question, but now that other pipes have been mentioned....
I have heard nothing but good things about the TGA pipe but as of now have not seen one in action.
My buddy has been using the Weston pipe. Other than having some trouble keeping the pressure tap in place, he really like the pipe. It is really quiet in comparison to the Byron.
I put a ROSSI 81 in a Byron Mig 15 once . It came with a couple of ROSSI NITRO pipes. They were the trombone style also. Boy, were they loud!!!
And I have this Byron # 5 pipe I would sell cheap..just a little tweaking and it will be good as new....
