Hi Don:
As many paint schemes that are available for the T-38,,,,,,,, I wish some one would come out with one at about 90!" like Skymasters F-5 at 95" Do they fly well? What a gorgeous airplane.

Don't know Dave...
No one has ever flown a T-38/F-5/F-20 at our event. Two or three years ago, someone brought a F-20 to the meet, but did not fly it. Or if they did, I wasn't there to witness that flight.
Dan-
Looking forward to see you and the Austin gang again.
In other news at Reese tonight, our club president Doug Harmon, made the maiden flight on his Yellow Aircraft A-4 Skyhawk. Went off without a hitch. Second and last flight of the evening, he lost throttle control and had to fly around for ten minutes until the fuel ran dry to make a deadstick landing. He is one happy camper tonight I can tell you.

RE: 6th Annual T-38 Jet Rally (Aug 17-21, 2005)
We are in the process of making our final preparations for this year's event. I hope that we have our usual good weather, so everyine can get their fill of jet flying. Our food will be handled again by Brad Swenson who does excellent barbecue.
Don is correct in saying that no one has flown a T-38 model at our event. We did, however have a fly by of a four ship formation of full-scale T-38's at our event in 2003. The four pilots landed over at Lubbock International and then attended our event. We made them honorary citizens of Lubbock.
The T-38 Jet Rally was named in recognition of the training mission that Reese performed when it was an active Air Force base. We presently hold the event on the runway that was used by the T-38's.

As I understand it, there will be a saturday night get together (not out at the field like last year. Not again. Not going to take the chance of another wind storm coming thru again). Whats on the menu, I don't know right now. Maybe Mike will be able to fill in the details.

We are still in the process of setting the menu for our Saturday night get together. Brad does a great job, so I am looking forward to anything that he comes up with. We will hold it in one of the hangers after everyone has had their fill of flying, so I am anticipating having dinner at 8 or 8:30.
It looks like we will have our usual list of excellent pilots attending the event.
It also looks like we are going to have good weather. We are getting some rain early in the week, and then it is supposed to clear out.

Well, we had a great turnout for this jet rally. Twenty nine pilots signed in by the morning of the 20th. Due to some threatening weather that was going to come in over night, pretty much everybody had their bags packed by the time of the Saturday evening banquet.
Today, it was overcast most of the morning and every now and then it would sprinkle as some members of the Wings Miniature Aircraft Society tore down the rope lines, picked up the trash, traffic cones, etc. I'll go thru some of the pictures that I took over the past week and post them here tomorrow.
Mike and Robert will start planning next year's event real soon.
