Roo II - How-to glue elevon halves together?
I'm considering the possibility of gluing the separate elevon halves together on my ROO II. I know many people have done this but I haven't found any descriptions on the methods to do so. Could someone either describe the process of gluing them together to make one large control surface per side or point me to this information?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi!
I smothered the inside of the elevon halves with epoxy where they meet in the center. I then cut a piece of 1/32 ply (or maybe 1/64) of plywood close to the same profile of the two halves, epoxied it up and thne slid it in beween them being careful to keep them even!
Whatever the thickness of the wood was, it was a perfect fit, just snug to enough to stay put on it's own. Also, be sure to give the inside of the halves a light sanding first.
The epoxy I put inside the halves first ensured that the plywood would be attached well. If any extra wood sticks up from the elevon after the epoxy cures you can trim it off.
I've had tons of flights on this and it's holding strong!
Hope this helps!
