Default Different Mobil turbine oils?

I've seen references to Mobil Turbine oils as :

"Mobil I ", Mobil II" and "Mobil III"

Can somebody tell me the differences and which are suitable to use in RAM , Jetcat, AMT Etc.....

TIA,

Jake

Default Different Mobil turbine oils?

I do know that jetcat recommends Aeroshell500, as I own one, Dont know about the others. I use what the manufacturer recomends.

Default Mobil Turbine Oils

Turbine Guy
Regarding the many types of turbine oil available from Mobil, I have only used two.
Mobil Jet Oil I and II are suitable for use in our turbine engines with no undesired side effects.
Mobile Jet Oil 254 is unsuitable, because it will stain your paint job. Mobil I and II will, but not as quickly/severly.
Mobil also makes 724, 800 series, 832, 790, and another grade just for use in Antartica and the Arctic, as well as others that I'm unaware of. Different types of turbine powerplants require different oils. A turbine generator at sea level in the Sahara doesn't have the same lubrication/cooling problems as an F-18 does. Try to stick with oils that are qualified to MIL-L-23699A and you will be fine.
I think that Exon 2380 is the most readily available type in the general aviation marketplace in my area, so thats what I use the most. Aeroshell 500 , Exon 2380 and Mobil I and II are the commonplace brands at airports all over the USA.
Mobil seems to be higher priced than the rest in this area (So. Cal)
A case of 2380 (24 quarts) can go for about $140.00.-$144.00 ($6.00 per quart ) Buy it by the quart, and it can go for $9.00 or so. I bought some Mobil I for $12.00 once--at the time it was the only game in town. Get some other guys to go in with you and buy a case and split it up.
Make sure that your fuel cans are clean, double filter the fuel on the way into the can, as well as into the airplane, and have a ball.
Happy shopping!

Default Aeroshell by the case

Does anyone know where you can order Aeroshell by the case in the USA?

I am tired of paying $15.00 per quart.

Thanks in advance!
