Default Jet Legend F-15 in Florida

I was suprised by the DHL guy showing up with a large package for me today. I ordered one of the F-15 kits from Jet Legend last week total 9 days. There was another Guy on here that ordered one so I took the gamble.
All I can say is WOW what I recieved for $780.00 USD !!!!!!!!!!
The plane is nicely detailed with all panel lines and detail molded in fully composite with twin exhaust pipe and fuel tanks. It even came with accesories hatch latches and hinges control horns etc etc.

I am a big fan of the F-15 have had 7-8 Avond/JHH/TG over the years And can honestly say I am VERY IMPRESSED with what you get for your money.

The pipe seems a little thin 1-2mil on the outer wall but the inside is 6-7 mil should be adequte. {Tam still make Best Pipe}Tanks are epoxyglass with plumbing.

I would reccomed their deal to any buyer that would like to build a kit. I will post pics later today.

Yes I will probally be there.

As a consumer I dont care who makes the plane as long as it is of decent quality and affordable. I believe Mcdonnell Douglas made the F-15 first. I just wanted others to know that they are on the up-n-up if you send money they DO DELIVER. It is a bit of a hassle to wire transfer money about an hour of my time but is was well worth doing so.

This thread my stir emotions but it was only intended to verify their existince. With all of the brands of F-15 out there they are quite pricey even a small one . As a modeler I look for a good deal with all purchases. I couldnt even buy the small one for that price.

I will be ordering another next week just to have on the shelf for later use. It is a heck of a deal for builders.

Hey Tim, are the holes pre marked to drill out for the fins, elevators etc?

Cheers

Jeremy,

There's no markings on the fuselage , but the plans are quite clear. Building this Eagle is pretty straightforward , the fit of the bulkhead is very good. The most difficult tasks is fitting the fins spars, it is not really easy to drill the hole without a jig.
Mine is nearly done, just missing the radio tank and turbine install. It took about 20 hours to reach this stage so it is quite a fast build.

14 lbs will be somewhat marginal on this airframe, you don't want an F15 looks like a cessna in the air...
The projected weight is 10.5kg dry with a P120 (mine is the elevons only version, no rudder)

Cheers
Florent

Looks like a nice build so far, Florent. Keep up the good work!

My friend has one of these too - very nice kit at a really good price - recommended for those of us on a budget or who enjoy the building process!

Jet Boy,
Having owned the Skymaster version of this F-15, I would think you would be hard pressed to stuff two 14 pounders in there. The pipe is designed for a single unit. It would require pretty major changes in the formers, but in this model they are readily availble to retrofit prior to installation. I think you would be best served with a 24 pound turbine. I lost my first F-15 on a stall out at takeoff under less than optimal conditions. CG is really critical on this model to making it fly nicely.
Good luck
Tommy

I can be done if you re-arange the formers a bit. A RCU member from Thailand put two PST 600's in a SM F-15 a while back.
