RE: Ram 750 air start
Along the lines of what Dean said: watch the temp as it is running on propane. See what temp it gets to. If it is not increasing or never says "FUEL RAMP", it is most likely the thermocouple (do you have it sticking in the 1/8"?). If the temp is going up while running on propane, how high does it get?
If it does indeed go into "FUEL RAMP", does the sound of the engine change? That would indicate that it is indeed getting Jet A, maybe just not enough of it. In this case, it may be that the pump is just too old and tired. I had this with an old 750F. I know you said that the pump runs on prime, but that might be all she's got. If this happens, try wiring up and adapter to your P-80 pump and try using it on the 750.
Give it a shot of fuel into those bearings before you trouble shoot much more. Sounds like its turned a lot of revs with no lubrication during all of this.

From resent experience, make sure you're feeding enough start gas. Mine will start and run on gas, but will not get above 150C if there isn't enough gas flow. The ECU will not ramp until it sees 150C. Next time if it won't ramp try opening the valve on your propane bottle a little more. If you catch it, you can even adjust it while the engine's still running.

And along those same lines, if you have some sort of unknown propane restriction (such that even with the valve full open you still do not get enough gas), simply turn over the propane bottle so that liquid propane goes in instead. That will give you enough.
