RE: B-1B
Glad to see someone else is working on the Bone. My current project is 1/12th (stand way off) scale. All that is left is to sheet the foam with balsa, glass it and install the two turbines. Your landing gear is going to be much more scale than mine. Great CAD drawings.

Hey nowwww Bill, we got the F-18 too !! Which in my opinion is the overall sexiest US fighter jet of all time The F-4E follows close behind tho-especially when painted "ala Vietnam Camo"

Richie,
I was never a fan of the Tomcat at all myself but it's the favorite of one of my buddie's here!
However I live merely 3 blocks away from NAS Oceana and the F-14's have been in the landing pattern over my house for as long as I can remember,it is sad now that you dont see them flying anymore.Every once in a great while I'll see a single Tomcat grazing the horizon
Here is a pic I took at the NAS Oceana airshow this year for my buddy, the last flights of the F-14 .

Steve, I can recall a trip I made to VA Beach many years ago. I stayed in a trailer park and was rudely, yet pleasantly awoken every morning about 6am maybe, by a couple of Tomcats flying right over us, TALK ABOUT ROARING THUNDER!!! It was great. I loved driving around and seeing these awesome jets flying all the time virtually. They will be missed...

Yes I hear that Richie .It took me approxiately a year to get used to the "roaring thunder" as the landing approach is right over my house .They start their flights early still like at 6-7am and dont finish till normally 10-30 or so at night. There ain't nothing like the roaring sound of freedom.I remember the day of seeing the entire F-14 Jolly Rogers squadron coming in, and now as you well know the Jolly Rogers are now F-18 E/F's.I now see/hear the Super Hornets .You wouldnt beleive how much louder the Super Hornets are than the F-18C's!
The F-18's fly nonstop and often play with F-5's here too!Oceana also has a couple Mirages & also a Mig 29
PS: sorry for the topic shift of your thread,F-14's were just mentioned.Back to the regularly scheduled program now

It will be 1/10th scale, 170" fuse, 164" wing span. 36" from pivot to pivot on the wing. I cut out some templates and laid them in the driveway to see the size and it was as big as my truck. And I said that is the right size!

I thought mine was going to be big. I stood the foam up next to my garage door and said to myself "How am I going to get that to the flying field" and mine is only 1/12th scale, fuse 144" and 139" wingspan. Are you going to install 4 turbines?
