That sir is a Flux Capacitor. It is used to generate 1.21 Jigawatts from gaseous byproducts mostly found coming out of our Favorite Mississippians ass........................
If you catch the gas around August on a cool night, time travel is achievable.
Man, I can't believe you got one for only Twenty Bucks

It was a prototype for a Byron gear door sequencer that was made right before the company went under.
Seriously, though, I do beleive it is a pneumatic control unit used to pan, tilt, zoom, and focus a camera when it is atop a crane. I know such units exist, but I have not used such units myself, only electrical ones.

Very cool! Ebay is awesome. The only time I have seen something like that was on a production level CD duplicator that used compressed air suction devices to pick up and move CDs around the machine.

The festo fittings alone would be worth the price.
But seriously[:-] this unit will allow you to start all eight turbines on a B-52 with the flip of a switch on a single channel.

You are all barking up the wrong tee errrr' wrong tree....It is a golf ball tee warmer. You stick your golf tees in the golf tee holders and turn this bad boy on and before too long your tee's are warmed to an exacting preset temperature. It has been proven that a golf ball hit off of "temperature-matched" golf tees will allow it to travel farther and straighter than the same tee's that are not equally heated. If you are having trouble playing golf at all......get one of these units and start using it!!!
Give it at try,
