Airworld F-9 Cougar
Just got my new R C Jets mag, and in the Motors and Rotors ad, there is a listing of an Airworld F-9 Cougar.
I can't find any info on the Airworld site, and I would like some info on this.
All composite? Size-turbine required etc.
Thanks
Ron Jahnig

F-9 Cougar
Hi Easytiger;
Think you and Vincent are correct about the Cougar being the electric ducted fan version.
I was looking for an all composite version, suitable for my Jet Cat P 120.
Thanks for the reply

Century jets
Thanks for the suggestion, however I have built a couple of Century jet planes, and I am looking for something all composite with the Quality of Airworld, or Gotz GFK.
Have a good Thanksgiving

Airworld F-9 Cougar
I'm not a Century rep, as a matter of fact, I have had some issues with some of their stuff, but I have to give credit. Their newest stuff, like this cougar and their A-7, are totally different from the old. I saw Dino DiGeorgio's Cougar, and it was up there with the best. All composite, I beleive, the wings and all too. Absolutely worth a look, forget about what you know about their older kits.

Century Cougar
Will check out the Cougar-
The last Century kit that I built was a turbine Mig 15 about 5 years ago.
It had a glass fuse, but sheeted foam wings and stab.
I am about three hours away from Burce at Century jets, and if the Cougar is all composite, it would be worth a trip to Louisville to check it out.

Guy's
Dave Wilshere from Motors & Rotors here-Yes the F9 in our advert is the electric version-I fly mine with the supplied Mega motor and AW version of the DS51 carbon fan-16 2400mAh cells gives 140 mph!! and 5 minutes plus. I'm just about to try 3000HV NiMH cells for more duration.
I've also ordered an MW44 to see if it would fit...
Sorry Traplet missed the Cougar photo.

Cougar
Hi Dave;
Thanks for the reply.
I was hoping that Airworld had come out with a larger version .
Let me know how this goes with the Wren 44, as I might be interested in this combo also.
Best regards
Ron Jahnig

CJ's Cougar
Here's the URL for Century Jet's Cougar - looked but didn't find a reference to "composite" anywhere. The larger scale Cougars are sure nice. I'm holding my breath waiting for that Thai-based outfit (the one TJT is hooked up with) to come out with their Cougar.

"The wings come pre-sheeted. The upper and lower rudders are also made from fiberglass.
The ailerons, flaps, wing tips, and inboard leading edge will now be made from fiberglass! All you will have to do is install the wing leading edge, fiberglass wing tip, wing spar, wing fence, hinge the fiberglass ailerons and flaps, etc."
So, not ALL composite, but pretty close. Their new Corsair prop jobbie(and I THINK their A7) are ALL glass.
The airworld electric one, I have seen it, it's all glass, prefinished, really neat.
I think the Thai deal is a Panther, not a Cougar. Theirs kit looks really nice, too.

Re: CJM Cougar
Never actually finished it yet. Have everything but the wheels and Brakes. I have a TON of pics like Vin Stated. Not all composite but very detailed instructions, a lot of pre-fab stuff. Let me know if you want some pictures. That reminds me. December will be Cougar Month in my shop. Let's see what I can do with it.

Cougar
I bought one of the PST 600 engines a couple of months ago, and it is a great little engine.
At the time I talked to Kravuth about the ready to fly Panther, but never got the info on color schemes etc to order one.
Hope they come out with a Cougar, even if it is for the smaller turbines.
