1st Annual California Jets at The Willow
We are pleased to announce that the 1st Annual "California Jets at The Willow" will be held on June 1-4th 2006! The runway is 3260' long and 50' wide. The field is 10 minutes from hotels and 25 minutes from Bakersfield malls. More info will be available soon along with directions, hotel recommendations.
Those of you that have joined us at the Willow for a day of flying know how much fun it is, this will be no exception. Wide open skies and enough runoff for any model jet, the Willow has grown to be a favorite of many.

I will be taking better pictures and posting them. A few of those were taken with a phone and the quality gets really bad when you try to make them bigger.
Dancing deodorant sticks are pretty funny.

Some more info:
There will be BBQ cooked and available along with drinks and snacks.
Overnight RV parking is available with out hook ups. It's an excellent place to camp.
Activities for the family that need a break from the rally include, Malls (25 minutes away), huge arcade with miniature golf, bumper boats, and batting cages(25 minutes away), Buena Vista lake for water recreation (15 minutes away).

I know a guy at work that could use a stick of deodorant every day of the week.
Grate news Kenny, it will be a awesome event. The Viperjet is almost ready ( finally ) to be flown next weekend, can't wait to burn some kero again it has been to long.
The new member of the family is still on the way, mmmmmm.... she will probably be here some time next week, I hope.

I know Doug, I was shooting for May but it seems that all of the weekends are taken by different things. Late in the year is bad because the return in July. We are in the process of getting the bee hives moved, but as of now it has to be sometime between March and June.
We usually see high 80s to low 90s and light breeze in the first week of June.
August on the other hand...[:@]
Come out and see us Doug and bring the family. There will be plenty trailers there with the AC on just in case!
