RE: Capitol Jets II, Albany NY Area.
Hey guys:
I flew down to Saratoga Springs to visit friends with plans of joining you guys for the afternoon, but heavy rain and thunderstorms intervened. I finally left the area between rain squalls at about 7:30.
Sorry to have missed everyone. I will see you all soon.

Bob the Fireman here!
To all my new friends,
I didn't get to accomplish my goal of getting my waiver qualifications flight but I got to meet a lot of great folks. That alone made the trip worthwhile. Not to mention the fact that I earned my firefighting Merit Badge!
I'd like to thank Frank and Art for putting on a professionally run event. I'd also like to thank all of the great people who gave me their time, loaned me their tools and gave me their support and encouragement. Bob R. Joe, Jeff L. Ray D. Frank, and if I left anyone out I apologize. Things were a little "hectic" on Friday and I don't remember evreyone's names.
Thanks Again to great bunch of people. Hope to see you all at Maine Jets in September.
Best Regards

Frank,
Thanks for all your efforts for another Notheast jet event. My hats off to you and the rest of the gang for making us welcome and at home. Mike Lesher, Val Flores and I got a chance during the brief rain on Saturday to visit the museum. Great tour! Not many events have a full scale air museum 200 yards away (F-105, F-14, F-102, etc, etc.). We also had dinner with Ray, museum curartor, Saturday night at the Bayou Cafe. The restaurant lived up to its name after 10PM.
Look forward to Capito Jets 3,
Jorge

Jorge, What happened to you guys ? I know you and Val where there but every time I looked for your planes I could not find them [] I thought you guys may have been being held for ransom in your trailer because I saw it at the Hotel and it was locked and you guys where no where to be found. We could not find Mike Lesher after Saturday and we thought he may have fallen into the same black hole as you and Val. Now that I read your post I see that that you guys where at the musem. Was the musem trying to buy your planes ? We missed you guys on Sunday also, but thank you for renting that big tent right at the flight line. It kept the sun off of us while we where flying and spotting for each other. Jerry got 18 flights on his P -60 powered Facet and we all had a great time thanks to the tireless efforts of Frank and Art. See you at Liberty Bell.

Hey Jorge,
Que passo?
What happened to you guys? Every one was tearing up the sky on Sunday.
Our Canadian friends nearly made a clean sweep on the top trophy awards.
They flew very well. Martin C, even fley his giant yellow F-18 Hornet. That flight was very spectacular!
Like Don said, we all shared your tent while you were gone, we missed ya buddy.
Hope all is well.
See you at Liberty.
Frank.

Ahhh, Frank and Art...another terrific CJ!
Great seeing all the 'old' friends.....but tough gettin' our clocks cleaned again by foreigners (last year Adil, this year the Canadian gang), though I managed to help Jeff hold up the US end of things re 'awards' . Superbly organized, GREAT Museum a hundred yards away...and the NY spectators....well, can't be much to do upstate on a hot weekend...'cause there were so many and they truly loved us!
You took excellent care of us....every amenity and convenience provided. Many, many thanks to all that helped, esp the tireless ESAM boys. CJ '07 is already penciled in......

I'm sorry I missed this year (work and family commitments) but I called every so often to get updates. Seems like I missed a GOOD time.
Congratulations to Frank, Art and all the others for putting on another great event.
Also, Congrats to all the award winners. Enjoy! I won't be absent the next time

Last I looked, Adil was from NEW JERSEY, which is NOT a foreign country, but it SHOULD be, and if anybody wants it, we can work something out.

I'm still recovering from laying out all that $$ to the spectators and voters from last year
Seriously though, I truly hated not being able to attend. Hopefully, I'll see you guys in LBJR, Maine or even the new MA jet rally?
OH! look at the time ! Time to go and get in the pool ...err , I mean "Family Commitments" taken care of.

Adil,
if you had not figured it out already, the pool can be a perfect place for you to do your wet sanding ... yet another great way to mix the hobby with other "commitments"

Ray, I'm not too familiar with the new Gripen from SM. I test flew a couple of the older ones and they were not bad if powered correctly and had reduced throws on the canards. I'm guessing that the new ones will be nicer and lighter for sure. Are you going to be around the Gardner rally? Its always a pleasure running into you.
