Kerry,

Like John, I have sent you numerous e-mails requesting info on the Sea Vixen parts. You replied to my first e-mail but since then nothing.

You do not answer your phone at the number above either.

Please can you send me the info as I already have the laser cut kit and plans. They are useless without your accessories.

Regards

Paul

Hi Paul,
Kerry did reply to my private email. He gave me a price list for all the items, but then he said he had to check availability with suppliers. I have not heard back from him so I suspect that he is still awaiting news from his suppliers. I have another freind in exactly the same predicament.

Hi John,

Thanks. It doesn't give much confidence with absolutely no response. Will anything show up once you send Kerry money to buy parts?

Could you PM me with the info that he sent you, or by e-mail to pbloxham(at)gmail.com?

Paul

Default Sea vixen

As F86 Sabre said: Plans, Canopy, Nose Piece, etc. Are all available from Ziroli Plans, Landing Gear available from Sierra. That is where I got all of my parts for the Sea Biden build soon as I finish my TBF Avenger. Chic

Finished the RAF Avenger and started the Sea Vixen Build on rcscalebuilder.com under Scale Jets. Great plans, accessories, and a very smooth build thus far. Chic

Dave Batchellor’s Sea Vixen is ready for the maiden. I finished the Powerbox Core radio set up today and test ran the JetCat P-130RX. All perfect
15kg with some fuel left in (4) tanks.

Beautiful build David. In particular the first FAW.2 version to fly that I'm aware of.

I look forward to seeing photos of the maiden.

Best Regards,
Kerry S.

Dave - so very glad to see and hear your engine run up today. Wilshire gave you some really great comments about your work. As you know, on my FAW2 Sea Vixen, I have run all the servo wires and air lines. Works great. Now is the time for me to begin glassing the air frame once I finish attaching the booms/fins/stab. Holler at you tomorrow Dave. Stay Safe and Stay Well. Chic

Finally got to test fly Dave’s SV today. Wonderful, a little nose heavy to start, but super smooth in flight even before I activated the Powerbox Gyro.
JetCat P-130Rx is perfect power. Unfortunately no video guy today, but there should be some still shots coming.

Really nice looking model - weird, of course, but a nice model. Good job!

Hello Wilshire, many thanks for being at the sticks for that maiden flight. Glad you asked Dave to breath. The short videos, I received from Dave were but of a solid flying airframe. A GREAT takeoff, solid and true level flight, looked like she is very light on the controls. Will start saving money to fly you over to the States to maiden mine when finished. Congrats to you both. Hello to both Dave's,

Congratulations on your very successful build and initial flight of the first FAW.2 Sea Vixen. It is a beautiful model and the craftsmanship shows throughout.

These Sea Vixen is a timeless beauty considering I designed this in 1999 !

I wish you many many more enjoyable flights.

Thank you for sharing with us.

Best Regards,
Kerry S.

P.S. As I have previously reported, I'm no longer involved in the sale of the my plans or parts as I transferred ownership to Ziroli Plans in May 2017 and retired from this activity. Please contact them for info on this and my other designs. Thank you. www.ziroligiantscaleplans.com

Yep, it’s a peach. Other than the balance needing to go back and a small increase in elevator movement for the landing flare (first landing I was adding power to get the nose up) it handles great.

Thanks very much to Dave Wilshire for the test flights. Rain started just before the third flight which was a shame but Rob Westwater managed to get some nice pics despite the poor conditions.

Chuffed covers it I think!

Dave B - Thanks for lighting a fire under me. The Lady looks so good in the air, glad I had you in my corner during our build. Those family senior citizens are still getting in the way of my build, but I remain struggling to push on. When is your next wheels up session? Finishing sanding on the boom to fuse, boom to fin connections. Chic

Hi Chic,

Looking great, keep up the good work when you can. Take care when handling that large lump!
Next trip out is likely to at the end of September.

Cheers

Hello Dave and thanks for the supporting words. Both of you "Dave's" there in the London area are great to have on my side. A fellow you may know is a member of our RC Club, Ben Jones. He tells us he knows you and your dad. Really a wonderful guy and a great pylon racer. Chic

Yes, I know Ben and his dad Geb, Ben fled state side for work a few years back. As a pair they were top of the pylon scene over here.
