Default Multi-pin connectors, what do you like?

With more advanced models having more advanced wing connections (2, 3 or even 4 servos, electric gear, electric brakes, lights) and tail/nose connections for fuselage disassembly, what are the popular multi-pin connector types these days? I've never had much need for more than a standard MPX where I bus power and ground with room for 4 signal wires, but even that's not enough for some (and that's a lot of servos to draw power through a single power pin). I know there are Ashlok (now MaxLoc) connectors but I've seen lots of other types in random pics and builds, but never see detail of what they actually are. Anyone got any tips on good 8, 10, 12 or more pin connectors?

That has 2 servo plus 4 power only for stuff like gear, brakes, or lights that don't need a signal.

Dreamworks carries them. There's others of course. Tail Dragger RC used to carry awesome ones that I used on everything but they are out of biz

I just got done using the AMP from Aeropanda, and I am very happy. They seem great to use and they were pretty easy to install.

I know we need to support our specialist hobby suppliers, and that all the profit margins are on these small items, but the prices being asked for these connectors are far beyond what can be had elsewhere on-line.

Suggest you look at Mouser or Arrow (probably plenty of others also), to see what the real market prices are for these and similar connectors, even for single unit quantities, never mind bulk purchases.

20-pin AMP (TE Connectivity) Connector (Female) - Mfr. #:178803-8
20-pin AMP (TE Connectivity) Connector (Male) - Mfr. #:178289-8

6-20pin connectors in the same style are available.

It's a free market, but some places are 'free-er' than others!

Flame-suit on.

Paul,

I checked digi-key for them and Panda was
very close on price. I had another few things and got to free shipping so I think I was on par and maybe cheaper with Panda and it was all ready packed up as well which was nice. It I do check around as do others I am sure.

I have been using AMP connectors for quite a few years now...from Digi-Key didn't know Aeropanda was selling them..
