Construction of a 1/16 scale KC 10
I will start, mi of september, to build a 1/16 scale KC 10 ( In flight refueler DC 10 )
I will use Norbert Rauch fiber glass parts, and Manfred Köster styro parts, and HAWE retract
Same style of construction will be used as I built my A330-300
If someone see interrest in that, I can supply this tread with pics and informations about the way to do it
Just let know
Will

Kevin
The DC6 was my model built to 1/16 scale. I brought it out to the field that day to show it off....but this guy Butch shows up with his big DC-10 model and steals the show!!
It was interesting that we both chose 1/16 scale for our projects.

Hi Butch,
I'd like a set of drawings from you if you still have them. [8D]
Your jet looks real scale. What engines did you design it around and are there any canopys or fiberglass parts available in the US?
I worked on the full scale birds for 5 years and never got used to all the extra steps into the cabin.

If you're wealthy, some nice setups at rc-tech in switzerland...
www.rc-tech.ch
One cool thing would be to have 'rotating' dummies that simulate real turbofans. I think it still hasn't been done, at least here on rcu.

Groendal take a look at Willfrance web site he installed a video cam in the leading edge of his airbus a330 with transmitted signal to the ground in real time. HE had to make an amplifier for reception and the video he shot looks great with nose and nacelle in view.
