JJ1800
Hi,
Finally after some serious bench running and flying i can safely say the JJ1800 works. Jetjoe have changed parts for best possible results. I have tested the JJ1800 on the GB controller known to many around the world and used by PST. This controller is manufactured in SA.
I still have the JJ1800 manual prototype version and will test auto start soon.
If you open up this turbine you will see the difference between JJ1200/1400 and 1800. All parts on the inside of 1800 fits only 1 way. NGV, Combustion chamber and Shaft tunnel all bolt together. Pre-load is in front and 2 huge GRW bearings are used for rotation.
Turbine wheel, NGV castings look good. Balancing now done on new dynamic balancing machine at factory.
I think customers will be happy with this motor. I still do not know what electronics Joe will supply with motor.
I will calculate some specs and post after some more testing. Release date and pricing is up to Joe.
Idle at 39K at 490 Degrees! Top RPM 120K at 600 Degrees! No thrust meassured yet, but it pulls my Skymaster Hawk the same as Jetcat P-80!
Regards
