USAF Museum Jet Fly-IN

Wright Patterson Jet Meet
You could not find a better facility to hold a jet meet at. Located at one of the best museum's in the world and unlimited runway, what better could you ask for.
This is a very central location that should interest jet pilots from
Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Mississippi to name a few.
Have attended the D.O.G.S big bird fly-in there the last couple of years and the base commander welcomes the event as it attracts tourism to the museum, which is free admission by the way. Don't see any reason he should not welcome a jet meet being held there.
Can't let the guy's on the west coast have all the fun.

USAF Museum Jet Fly-IN
I have attended the last 3 Cincy flyins, nice event and very low key event. The USAF Museum is a very big plus The only better museum is the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola FL but then it wouldn't be a very convient drive as well as hard to call the event the Cincy jet fly.

I would come all the way from Florida if its a 4 day + event , That should be a great event if its held at an USAF museum.

RE: AF Museum Jet Fly
I don't know how this post made it to the front page of RC universe after 8 years but believe it or not we have already had a conversation among ourselves here in Cincinnati about possibly moving the Cincinnati Jets Thunder in the Sky event to the facility if possible. Since the runway has been repaved it is a great place to fly jets. We actually tried to relocate there last year when we had some issues at the location we have been using for the last three years, but the facility was already booked for the weekend.
There are some logistical issues but since the thread is here I am sure the other organizers of Cincinnati Jets would be interested to know if it is worth pursuing.

RE: USAF Museum Jet Fly-IN
A whole slew of eight year old posts popped up on the forum and the mods are trying to clear it up. When I first saw this one I was excited until I saw the date.
Hook field is a great place for jet rallies but man, nothing in the country can compare to flying at the museum! Make it happen Gary [8D]

I'm not sure if this is still truly being looked at but what a great idea!
I would come, help out, and fly. I know of at least 2 others that I could coerce into coming.
Great venue and many other attractions in the area not to mention the Museum.

I think it is a great idea and we will be there for sure.
I had been contemplating talking to you and Bob about the possibility of having an event there Memorial Day weekend.

That is typically a spectacular weekend in central Ohio. Good choice!

Guys, Lets not get cart in front of the horse.
We have a great place to fly currently at Middletown airport with fantastic hosts.
For next year there is a conflict with our normal date and the JW Masters event.

Gary and I have to discuss how we might handle this.
Would there be interest in having Cincy Jets AKA "Thunder in the Sky" the weekend before the masters event.
But we welcome your input.
