RE: Y/A F-16 tanks
Yellow makes some conformal cells sepcific for that kit, give em a call or call Shaun Evans, 619-944-7574. They are smaller than the Jet Tech tanks and for good reason. The tanks are installed just behind the canopy, which is very far infront of the CG. The yellow tanks are cheaper and come with all the nessesary hardware for Kero. Also the jet tech are very hard to get into that small space. Good luck

Kevin,
It'd be nice to hear from you again! Yeah, what jedi said is true. The JetTech cells are nice, but they carry the fuel very far forward in the nose area. They are considerably more expensive than the Yellow ones, too, without much in the way of justification. Lastly, they will impede your ability to add the inlet-spike modification, which is necessary for safe ops with this plane on turbine power.

RE: Y/A F-16 tanks
Here is a picture of the Yellow tanks over the inlet before I removed half of the intake, I squeezed a dubrow 12 oz saddle between the yellow tanks and put a 16 dubrow flat boat tank in front of them on the floor. The yellow tanks are 21oz each for a total of about 70 ozs. The 12 0z saddle tank is my hopper tank. With a Ram 500 in the plane burning about 8 oz a min. I am getting about 5-6 min. flight times. With about 4-6 oz left in the main tank.
Hey Shawn what is the inlet spike modification? Thanks Frank.

Thanks Frank!
That is what I wanted to see. Just got off the phone with Shaun, so the 42oz of fuel is on the way.
Thanks Shaun for taking time out to help.

RE: Y/A F-16 tanks
Frank, I had an F-16 with the inlet spike mod. It is basically a thin former that spans across the top of the inlet (inside the fuselage)and supports a hardwood dowel that oes though the inlet, kinda a resmebling the De-Ice probe. On my model it didn't do much so I took it out and did my own mod. PM me if you are interested.
Kevin I think that P-60 is gonna make your Falcon rock.

Frank,
The mod I'm talking about isn't the same one Falconwings is talking about. This mod is, like his, a ply former that goes across the inside of the cockpit area in the rear, just behind the canopy hinges. The bottom of this former is notched to accept a ply or carbon-plate brace (approx 1/16" to 3/32" thick by 3/8" wide by 4" long) that goes through the entire inlet--top to bottom--and notches into the top of the nose-gear plate. The result is a rigid intake opening which can't be compressed by squeezing the fuselage from top to bottom in that area (the way it would on an other-than-majestic landing). This mod is one that you'll instantly realize the wisdom of once you complete it and then push down on the top of the fuse behind the canopy. I have a diagram of this, but it's in San Diego and I'm in Salinas right now. Feel free to call me and I can talk you through it over the phone if you like.

Yeap, that is deffinetely not the mod that I had. My mod was done by another Y/A rep before I took it out. Your's sound a lot better Shaun.
Please email me a copy of your design to: [email protected]
I'd like to try that out on my turbine Falcon.
Thanks,
David
