some Panthers were painted light gull gray & white. Used the testors model masters dark sea blue 1/2 oz. bottles a real pain in the butt. I have a Cougar under construction, and can't figure how the rudder is mounted/hinged, Must call Henry

Hi we are goig to spray the paint on a card and get it matched w ppg,ill post pics of the rudder,Its really simple thier are 2 g 10 flat hinges, they glue into the virtical then you notch the rudder so the 2 tabs slide into the leading edge all the way past the red tube that was installed during lay up.Then you slide a wire threw the tube it captures both flat hinges.Im on my way to the shop so ill get some pics up to day. Paul what color is the blue dark or regular sea blue?

Paul
this is the info I have on the SEA BLUE per USN/USMC bureau of aero.
the fed std 595a # is 15042
munsell 595a # 8.0B28/0.8
munsell ANA series 0.55PB2.59/1.45
fed spec TT-C595 1505
ANA Bulletin 157/166 623
If you can get pixs of the Cougar rudder install that would be even better, but the panther should almost be the same

UJOE i purchased allot of scale details that henry custom made for the panther/couger i would recomened these.. the canopy frame is a must,I left the flex hinges but added the flap gap leading edges, they makes a nice touch his speed brake detail is the best ive seen! He also has all the plans for the blow in doors and operational tail hook and slidig canopy, they take some extra time but are a great detail! You see that his Hawk options were copied by another pro just another sign of his Talent and building skills. The Airworld kit is a must for any panther couger freek, hope that they make some more Us Jets A4,F4,F16 ?Im having Henry Paint my customers plane, were going with the BLUE TAIL FLY will post pics next week of the finnished Pancat henrys got 2 going now and then starts on 5 Hawks...see ya soon.

HVNMODELS
Those pictures sure do help.thank you. The CD that comes with the Cougar leaves a Lot to be desired. I've installed the blow in doors both sets, tail bumper, and tail hook, in the Cougar. might you have any pictures of the door drag linkage(outer gear doors)and what type of hinges used for doors ?
