Please make a F-18C, not a Super Hornet. The Super Hornet is ugly in my opinion and there are too many on the market.

Mine is finally finished and waiting for maiden. As soon as the weather breaks. This one has the CG set at 220. It has a BF300 and 164 oz of fuel. The saddle tanks had to be notched so the engine would fit. The nose was very heavy so I had to move the pump and batteries above the saddle tanks. Also, I had to add 16 oz of lead in the tail ( I really hated that ). I used the external servo linkage on the rudder as I want it to be rock solid with this big turbine. Also I pinned the front rod on the vertical stab because with a little pressure you could see it move even after the rear rod was clamped. Oh, all of the wires and hoses shown in the engine compartment have been covered in heat proof tape now. Not exposed.
I did a run up and the fuse is very cool to the touch so the big beast is breathing very well.
After testing the gear doors it looks like the provided cylinders are not strong enough to close the doors positively enough so I will be changing those out. 8711's in the elevators.
Andy

RE: s/m 1/6 f16 in my hot little hands!
I swapped my Comp ARF Extra 260 3m from a mate for the Skymaster F-16 what an awesome jet but it needs a few thing fix up on it as he did not build it he brought it second hand but never flown. The first fix is the wings as he glue the servos in to the wing with Hysol what an F [:@] but I got them out without damaging the wing. So I had some spear Comp Arf servo hatch so I going to use them and mount the servo straight to them.
As of servos I am going to run on the elevators Futaba S9075SB 30.6kg and on the Rudder & Ailerons Spektrum A6030 20.0kg and a King Tech K-170F Thanks Ken from KMRC Jets.

Looks great Andy, cant wait to see it fly. Hey if you have an empty hardpoint, how about giving your lil bro a lift up and pickle him at about 500ft? I could use the extra flight time and you will never notice an extra 20oz on the wing!
It aint looking good outside right now but I will have everything charged and loaded in case the weather breaks, fingers crossed.

No,it has not been in the air yet. We hope to maiden it in a few weeks. The armament will come off for that, but it looks so cool sitting there with it all on! I painted the pods, the fuel tanks and the belly tank to match the camo scheme. Looks cool. Hope to have it in Kentucky, all hanging and flying.

We are sitting at 39 #s as seen dry. I will weigh it full just to see how it stands. Are you using three tank and how do you have them plumbed? Emptying the top tank last
