RE: Winter Project Underway: Bryon BD-5J
Well... after the restoration is over and logged 8-10 flights (and 1 repair after mains jammed in fuse on landing), time for conversion!! Installing a Jet Central Rabbit into the BD-5. Did the usual double 1/2 moon bulk head under the rudder, removed front wing bulkhead (1/8") and added 1/4" front bulk head and rear wing bulk head doubler, with carbon fibre reinforcement (6oz) added a plate to hold fuel tanks across front and rear wing bulk heads. Removed front servo tray and installed a new plate for electronics. Added new control panel in main hatch. Moved servo and angled it in rudder.
80oz total tank capacity for fuel.
26oz total tank capacity for smoke fuel.

Zagzoo: Very nice project, and the finished product, just,
beautiful. I'm a fan of this bird. And was going to by the one from
Extreme Jets, BUT, the tail fairings are not as accurate as they are
in the Byron, so I desisted of the idea. When turbinized, please post
a video.
Thanks,
Hector
