Sorry, I had to ask. This one should go in the "You get what you pay for thread"(http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4996310/tm.htm). That really stinks. The correct answer should have been. "We don't have that info on hand. Give us you're number and we'll call the designer and get the info to you".

It was, IMO the only OUTSTANDING manufacture of kits is Jet Model Products... The manual (T33) is first class,& if you do have a problem Tom is only a phone call away.

Hey Joe,
I have flown my Cougar a hell of allot ( Showing 25 hours on my TX ), and I am really happy with the set up I have on it ( I played with the CG quite a bit to get it how I like it.) Personally I think the stock CG is a little nose heavy.
I would be more than happy to help with my set up. Only problem is that I am about 100 miles away from my Cougar right now. I should be able to get you what you need by tomorrow or Monday at the latest. If you still have no joy by Monday feel free to email me on [email protected] and I will be happy to assist on this or anything else Cougar related.
Regards Al
P.S There should be some video of my Cougar flying in the gallery section of my web site www.alshobbies.com

Might you have any measurements either in inches or millinmeters, and is that the forward wing tube? Controll throws..... need some starting point ....

I had a few PM's regarding this set up so I thought I might as well post here.
I measured the CG with tails on, wings off ( I found it impossible to do with the wings on by myself sorry ) and with empty tank ( Full UAT just in front of main tank) Mine balanced in at 11!QUOT! behind the leading edge of the wing root.
Elevator travel = 1!QUOT! Up and 3/4!QUOT! down
Rudder = 1.5!QUOT! both ways
Flap= Take off 2!QUOT! Down Landing 4!QUOT! Down
Ailerons= 1 1/4!QUOT! Both ways
Speed Brake = As much as you can get
There are absolutely no mixers on this model. Full flap and full speed brake cause no pitch whatsoever. Rolls are spot on with no differential required
Use flap for take off. It just rises off when its ready. I can do a super short finals using full speed brake and full flap and about 1/4 power but be careful speed brakes are very low to the ground so either make it perfect or put them away before you touch down. I land and can hold off with full up elevator and it just sits there nose high and on the mains.
Hope this is of help, and of you need anything else just let me know.
Regards Al
Just noticed that after I did a spell check the system has taken all my signs for inches and put them as "Quot" Sorry about that []

I am getting ready to do the throws and CG on my Airworld cougar. Since your last thread, do you know where the CG is with the wings on?

Already did. Carlos from RTI made a double wall. Also threw away the bypass that came with it. I am using a BVM bypass for large turbines. Had to do a little modifying but it fits great now.

Hi Joe,
I threw away the Airworld outer fiberglass pipe and had Carlos (RTI) make and attach a metal outer wall to the pipe. Works great! Kept the bypass, is OK.
Jorge
PS Thanks for the Cougar photos!!

Hi luckyy,

If someone has fit a BVM large bypass (I assume the AMT Pegasus bypass), I can tell you the the P-180 will fit in that bypass. You just have to cut a clearance slot for the starter so you can install the turbine in the bypass. My wife wants one of these Cougars bad and I have got a P-180 so I hope she does not read this thread! I need it for my F-5!

Matt There was a airword couger at orlando flyin it was a big bird. My 180 might have a home. My choices so far are F-16 skymaster, Airworld couger or another lightning. I still have the landing gear from my crash

Im looking for the most accurate CG setting for the airworld cougar. Can someone help? Doing CG with wings off sounds scary to me. Is there a CG setting with wings on?
