Congrats Kevin!

I assume after seing the size of the model and having 2 P-60's that it must have been a bullet!

Hi guys,

wow, that's exactly what i've been looking for. I'm currently wrapped up in a project that will also need custom wheels, and have been doing a lot of looking around without finding anything suitable.
Can you give me the type of rubber used? there are many on the page, but none appear black.....

Thanks
best regards
Hank

Look at post #2. The 7th picture shows the stuff I used. The rubber is a tan color out of the bottle, but you can tint it to any color you want. The little bottle in the foreground is the black coloring. They sell many other colors too, so you could make your tires color co-ordinated with your jet if you like.

Pat,
One week to paint?
I want some of whatever you are smokin!

BTW, Bob-O wasn't there and I haven't spoken to him since the flight.
The Gladys Cravitz of the Texas jet scene has struck again.
I don't know where he gets his info so quickly but his reporting on my flight and my plans to bring it to Mt. Pleasant are second hand info and conjecture. He was 100% correct though. [&:]

There were some people there with a video camera though. They got the take off and part of the flight on video, but missed the landing.
I left my email address, so hopefully they will send me a copy.

Thanks for posting the process of making your own tires, I really enjoyed it & have printed a hard copy for future reference. Very informative & well written!
