RE: C-ARF "Spark"?
I'd love to try one of these with a Wren 44 gold, or see a larger version about 74"WS and 18lbs dry for a SS. Very nice lines and way different than the other offerings. Thanks for the linked photos Bob!~). Good goin Andreas and comp-arf. Good build and flying David.

Guys,
You may have seen in the Chalgrove thread that we had a chance to get some video of the turbine Spark today in reasonable light conditions. Dave will no doubt fill in the specs for those interested.

Maybe you could come to the UK and video it for us ;-)
It's a small aeroplane and anyone who has done flight videoing will know that following a small fast aeroplane is not easy...I think Trev did a great job with the equipment he had to work with!
Bob-thanks, still only flight seven but the more I fly it the more you realise what a good aeroplane it is. With a P60 and nearly 2 ltrs of fuel it's around 14lb at take off so that little wing is doing very well.
It was a calm day so no wind to help either, landings slow up a lot in a breeze.
Rob, I think the plan now is not for a full turbine kit, my model has cut down EDF inlets and a tank moulded by Comp ARF which should become available in the optional parts for the Spark.
With smaller turbines a Dubro 40oz tank will fit also.

RE: C-ARF "Spark"?
Scott,
I have one ready to fly on EDF power.
I ordered mine through Ray Labonte.
If you don't have a P-60 already I would seriously consider the Gold 44 as you can carry a lot less fuel and fly just as long if not longer,
Plus the landing speeds should be slower too.
I think a 40oz dubro and a UAT would fit easier. You have to cut the inlets back and I suggest the Wren pipe.
Comp arf has wheels with brakes to fit the Springair units

It's not much work. This was the first aeroplane converted so there is no conversion kit yet.
Any tail pipe for a P60 will fit, in the UK we use the excellent Wren pipe, but a Tams or even BVM pipe would work.
The tank you would need to order through your Rep, not seen a price yet, but I guess a little more thank a Flash wing tank.
regards

RE: C-ARF "Spark"?
Nice video T
The video stopped there because one of the main legs hung up and I spent some time "yanking" to get the stuck leg down. I've now increased the wheel opening to stop it catching.
