here are pics that Wagner has of some of the cockpits he has, I know the first two are F18-F and the second two might be F15.

Paul

just wondering if that goerge bush doll will fit in this cockpit.

Well guys, I made the plunge, and Bush is on his way to my House! Might have to put him on a diet tho, but he'll look great for this kit.

I was also looking at a "cougar" F18 hornet pilot for the back seat, Is this a good choice?

Paul,

Getting them to fit is a breeze. Remove his cloths (U pervert), band saw him in half at the waist joint, trim the flightsuit with scissors to fit and install minus his hands. Fits perfect then.

I used GWB in both seats BTW.

Hi

I have one of these cockpits on the way from Wagner, I ordered it with the kit and have 2 GWB for inside. Once the helmet, visor, and mask are put on you can't really tell who it is. I may be wrong but the second 2 pictures I think are Tams F18F cockpits. The first ones are identical to the F18E single cockpit I have in my rookie II that I purchased from Airpac models (skymaster)

thanks Mark for the info,

See at first I didn't noticed that "GWB" meant George W. Bush, hehehehe

these pilots are getting hard to find and price seems to be increasing,

I like the idea of the same pilots because of matching helmelts and uniforms

do you have a better line for price for a 2 bush?

I got the first one from ebay this morning.

Paul

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if the ordinance set of Fei Bao for the F-18F (diamondback scheme) would fit the SM F-18 F??
Would also appreciate some closeup pictures to show mechanism.

Appreciate any feedback on this one.

Rgds.

Rdgs, I can't see why not, each rail has a small metal cap screw that goes into the wing thru the rail, your going to have to install blind nuts of course into the wing.

the missle and tanks than screw to the rails, this way you can leave the rails on to fly with or without tanks and missles.

I'll post some pic's later

I honestly don't want to cause any debating here, just really want the facts. What is the main differences between the Fei Bao and the Tam's? Are they painted out of the mold? Seemlines? How's the fit? Thanks

HI Philo, All I can speak for is I bought a Feibao F18-F, I don't own a Tam aircraft yet!

It is painted out of the mold, there are no seem lines, fits are beautiful. You can see feom the pics I put in.

that's that!

My cockpit is from Wagner at rcjetmodels.com, which I believe he got them from Feibao, no pilots, but I bought two GWB pilots from ebay. I am going to paint one of them to look like me! Twin bush's will be a hand full, LOL

they should be here soon.

Thanks for the ccmment, this airframe was on my list for must have one day! I am Canadian, I would've loved to have a C version with our paint sceme, but couldn't fine one in ARF version, But when I saw this Diamond back 50th version in ARF for the price, I had to have, real eye cather. I can't wait to get her outside for pics, with the sun on it.

HI Jim, I believe you can't order direct from factory, you have to go thru the dealers, Wagner, tam etc:

even over seas they a have dealers thru out..

Don't know where you got the idea of factory direct from Feibao.

Even if you go to Feibao website, you well see pics but no prices or order forms.

Paul

Jim FB planes are only available in the States by dealers. You can buy them at RCJetmodels or TamJets.

hmmmm, we still have a little snow too, but that is melting away.

Oh, I HATE the cold weather, if I didn't have my job up here, I be moving south for sure. I keep daring my boss to fire me,but no go.

Paul as I told before the SM F-18E deal I had is going down. The plane still available but I decide to spent the money in a new Super Eagle for my Boomerang XL instead. I'm finishing with the repair of both rudders that tear apart in a hard landing. I'm planning to get it ready for this weekend with her new engine. About building I'm slowly in my PST Panther, waiting for the sliding mechanism that is doing a friend here in RCU. But the cold wheather have slow him also. I'm also will start a new Rookie II for a friend of mine. This one I think will be ready prior my panther. If I stay firm in not to buy that Bug, then will be an FB MB-339. Allready had a quote from Wagner. I'm just to busy to buy it now. May be after August.

Take Care!
